In this game there were standouts on both sides of the ball. Below are a few who laid it out and left it all on the field for their respective teams.
Glassboro
Foster did his absolute best to pace the offense and push the ball downfield. Foster was 11 of 18 for 153 yards in the game with 1 touchdown and 1 pick. Just a freshman on a roster loaded with young talent, something tells me Foster and company will be contenders for years to come.
Highlights
One of the Garden State’s top prospects for the class of 2027, Sabb put on for Glassboro in his State Championship debut. Offensively Sabb went for 99 yards on 5 receptions; defensively he made 3 tackles; and on specials he returned 3 kickoffs for 45 yards (18 yard long) and 2 punts for 27 yards (22 yard long).
Foster set the tone up front along the defensive line for the Bulldogs. The Freshman Bulldog, Foster made 4 total tackles in this game. Three of those tackles went for a loss, as he also was credited with 1.5 sacks in the contest.
Highlights
Cracking the list of top performers for Glassboro is someone other than a freshman – young sophomore Junior Serrano Junior Serrano 6’1″ | 205 lbs | DL Glassboro | 2025 NJ . Along with Foster, from his defensive line spot Serrano made 7 tackles (6 solos) with 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.
Mountain Lakes
Going out as a champion, Dzamba had an incredible game where he absolutely stuffed the defensive stat sheet for the Herd. In the game-of-a-lifetime, Dzamba had a game-of-a-lifetime. Dzamba made 9 tackles (5 solos), 2.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, forced 2 fumbles, recovered 1 fumble, had a pick-six, and also blocked a kick.
Any plays that Dzamba did not make, Borie did his best to clean it and pick up the slack. Borie made 5 tackles (3 solos) with 1.5 tackles for loss. Borie will be back next year looking to defend their title.
Part of a three-headed monster at running back where carries were evenly distributed, Malnati found the endzone once in this one – as he rushed 10 times for 10 carries to go along with that score.
Redzepagic led the Heard in total rushing yardage with 64 in this contest. Those 64 yards came on 12 rushing attempts.
Hernando was Mountain Lakes’ leading ball carrier with 15 attempts in the contest. Those 15 carries converted to 41 rushing yards and 1 score.
