Jackson Nolt
Jackson Nolt Ephrata. 1st time I saw Nolt play and I came away very impressed with him as a prospect. Nolt has great size for the position standing 6’5 inches tall. He shows good strength from his defensive line position by constantly pushing offensive linemen back into the backfield. During the game, he had several tackles for losses and showed a motor that never quits. He caused a key offensive holding Penalty that stopped a big drive from Lower Dauphin. Finally, Nolt also blocked a field goal that would have helped Lower Dauphin extend there lead in the game. Nolt is only a Sophomore, so he is a name to keep track of in the future.
Brayden Brown
Brayden Brown
Brayden Brown Ephrata. Brown is another prospect I did not watch before Friday night, but I was very impressed with him. At running back he is a taller running back standing 6’1 inches tall, but packs a punch from his running back position. He is a physical runner that is hard to bring down. He is like a bully ball from his running back position. He scored the winning touchdown on a physical tough run. The Junior will have a chance to build off this season next year as well.
Brandon Fritz
Brandon Fritz
Brandon Fritz Lower Dauphin. Fritz is a talented player. He played wide receiver, and defensive back and was the kicker for Lower Dauphin. At wide receiver he made two of the best catches you see a wide receiver make. The 1st one was a fade pass where the Ephrata defender had great position, but Fritz out-jumped him catch. Then two plays later he caught a touchdown pass. Fritz has good size and catches the ball well. He should continue to get better going into his Senior year.
Sam McCracken Sam McCracken 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Ephrata | 2024 State PA Ephrata. McCracken had an up and down game Friday night, but when his team needed him at the biggest moment he stepped up. On the game-winning drive, McCracken completed several big throws. He scrambled around and found several players. He also ran the ball a few times from his quarterback position on that drive. McCracken will need to play better next week when they try to knock off Garden Spot and avenge a loss from earlier this year.
