CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
8-1 All Time – 10th Title Appearance
For the tenth time in school history, the Heritage Hall Chargers find themselves playing for a state championship. And when the Chargers are playing for a state title, more times than not, they win it. They are defending 3A champs and hold an 8-1 record all time in the state championship game. They won four state titles from 2014-2018 but hadn’t been back before winning it all last season. And that was because they ran into Lincoln Christian in the semifinals from 2019-2021. So these two teams are very familiar with one another. The Chargers look to add one more gold ball before moving up to Class 4A next season.
OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION: 48.5 Points Per Game
The defending champions are averaging nearly 50 points per game and it’s hard to contain this offense. They are led by a senior quarterback, who is one of the best overall players in the state of Oklahoma this season. Over half of their games this season have ended with the Chargers scoring at least 50 points. The Chargers will be facing a young but very talented Lincoln Christian defense. They’ll lean on their stars once again to provide fireworks.
DEFENSIVE PRODUCTION: 16.9 Points Per Game
With an offense that is averaging nearly 50 points per game, that certainly takes a lot of the pressure off a defense. The Chargers have been able to hold up when they need to and they come into Saturday night’s game giving up just under 17 points per game. You have to look at the teams they’ve played this season and the only teams they’ve given up points to are some of the best in Class 3A this season. But they’ll need to do it again on Saturday.
STAR WATCH
Heritage Hall senior standout Andy Bass Andy Bass 6’0″ | 195 lbs | ATH Heritage Hall | 2024 State OK is one of the best players in the state. That was crystal clear from the first moment we saw him on the football field this season. Before the year even began, in a scrimmage at Carl Albert, Bass flourished. He did it again in their season opener against Millwood. He’s incredibly dynamic and he’s a player that can carry a team to a state championship. Bass shined bright in last year’s state championship game and it would be foolish to think that he can’t do it again. He produces, he’s clutch and he’s a winner. That’s a deadly combination at the high school level.

CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
2-3 All Time – 6th Title Appearance
Lincoln Christian is in the same position as Heritage Hall. Because of all their success in the last five years, they will be moving up to Class 4A starting next season. The Bulldogs are back into the state championship game for the sixth time in school history and the fourth time in the last five years. They won it all in 2019 but then fell to Holland Hall in the 2020 and 2021 title games. During that three-year stretch of championship games, the Bulldogs eliminated Heritage Hall in the semifinals each year. The Bulldogs had to settle for silver the last two times they played at UCO. They want to add a little more gold this time around.
OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION: 46.2 Points Per Game
It should come as no surprise to anyone that has followed high school football in Oklahoma over the last decade. Lincoln Christian has had one of the top offenses in the state and this year is no different. The Bulldogs are averaging just over 46 points per game this season. But the thing that is so impressive about Lincoln Christian’s offense is the balance. They once again have one of the top passing attacks in Class 3A but they also have not one, but two rushers with over 1,000 yards.
DEFENSIVE PRODUCTION: 11.5 Points Per Game
Lincoln Christian had to replace a lot of production and experience from last year’s team on defense and they’ve done just that. The Bulldogs are once again one of the top defenses in Class 3A, giving up just over 11 points per game. They played back to back games against top five teams in the last two weeks and gave up a combined 17 points. But they are facing a different animal with Heritage Hall, who has one of the best athletes in the state at quarterback.
STAR WATCH
Leading the high-powered but balanced offense for Lincoln Christian is senior quarterback Luke Milligan Luke Milligan 6’2″ | 185 lbs | QB Lincoln Christian | 2024 State OK and he’s been pretty flawless this season. He’s pushing all the right buttons at the right times and he’s etching his name on the long list of successful Lincoln Christian quarterbacks. Now, he’s going to attempt to do something that former Lincoln stars and SEC signees Micah Wilson and Max Brown could not do and finish the season with a gold ball. Milligan certainly has all the tools to bring home the next state title to Lincoln Christian. As long as he continues to do what he’s done all year.
