Read on to see what makes each individual special.
BYU offer holder Dennis Tua’one Dennis Tua’one DB Timpview | 2028 UT out of Timpview, is already getting Power 5 interest. He is a pure athlete with unofficial measurements of 5’11 and 155 pounds. If he could drop back and throw himself a deep ball, he would. This kid is that talented, with an about average skill set at wide receiver, quarterback, and plays even a little safety. Dennis’ concentration at wideout is a smart choice in my opinion. His explosive releases off the line of scrimmage, in addition to loose hips and quick feet are a deadly combination to cover.
5’11 150lb dual sport (football/basketball) standout Eli Mortensen Eli Mortensen 5’11” | 155 lbs | ATH Morgan | 2028 UT gets it done at receiver, linebacker and safety. With his long frame it seems Eli will naturally settle in at wide receiver as his primary position in the immediate future. Winning a State Championship and averaging 21 yards per catch during the season will easily back up this assumption. Although, six interceptions and taking two back to the house ‘aint a bad look either. Eli is a pure athlete who makes acrobatic catches look the norm. His ball skills are elite and he’s hard to catch with such a long stride length that covers ground very quickly.
Britton Johnson Britton Johnson 6’1″ | 170 lbs | ATH Westlake | 2028 UT is a 6’1 170 pound reclass prospect out of Westlake. He can get it done in various positions, such as TE, WR, and DE. Britton was a hot name during this summers camp circuit collecting multiple MVP honors. Most notable was Tight End MVP at the BYU Camp. This young beast is a headache for LB’s, and will get a lot of attention from Safeties when stretching the field. Ball security is no issue due to his strength and big hands. Britton also likes to make something happen after every catch.
Please do me a favor and highlight the name on whatever list he might pop up on. He is legit! Utah got the jump and already offered this 6’4 245 lb big man. I’m going to continue to reference this kid as a “man” because that’s how he plays. Malakai is a terror in the trenches. It does not matter what side of the ball he lines up on, his presence will be felt immediately. On contact, his feet does not hiccup at all. If anything, he runs his feet until his opponent ends up on their back or until the whistle blows. On offense, Malakai pulls with a purpose. Drive block, pass pro just put an “X” over whoever is trying to get to the ball, because he’s dead in the water. On defense, his get off and violent hands ignites his motor to find his way to the ball with bad intentions. Please don’t sleep on the athleticism of this man child because of his size. Come commitment time which is a ways away, Mr. Leilua will have his choice like teammate Britton Johnson Britton Johnson 6’1″ | 170 lbs | ATH Westlake | 2028 UT . Shoutout to Level Up Elites for showcasing the top talent in the area so we can witness more like these young men.
At 5’11 185 pounds, Bridger Young Bridger Young 6’0″ | 205 lbs | LB Corner Canton | 2028 UT has laid claim on being a physical linebacker with range already in his young career. Big bro is a senior in high school that is blazing a trail for him to follow at the same position. Even though those D1 offered haven’t stacked up this early yet. Trust me they are coming down the road. Bridger has a high football IQ with a knack to find the ball. His game consists of various highlights- shooting gaps to blow up the ball carrier for negative yardage, securing the tackle in open field, high pointing a ball for a interception, or laying wood to create space between the player and the ball. I really like his tenacity and high motor. Having a solid frame to build upon doesn’t hurt either.
