The East TN two-way talent who is headed to Miami Ohio as a defensive back, was explosive and efficient in Week Eight, producing five total touchdowns with most of the damage coming by way through the air. Martin is a talented young man with size and natural athletic abilities that translate well to the college game, especially on the defensive side of the ball but he certainly earned this award with his offensive prowess. u003c/spanu003ernrnu003cbu003eGame Stats: u003c/bu003eu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003e26-33 passing for 255 yds u0026amp; 4 TD's; 19 yds rushing 1 TD (3 tcks on Def.)u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65281cf9bc536"} /-->

The ball simply had a magnet geared towards going to Silvestri as he picked off the Cougars three times as well as recovered a fumble inside their own red zone to stop a possible Centennial score.
Positional Players of the Week

QB: [player_tooltip player_id='398083' first='Silas' last='Teat'] - Marshall Co.: 8-9 passing for 152 yds & 4 TD's (20 yds rushing & 1 TD)

- Producing five total touchdowns, Teat was near flawless in the Tigers win last week and he has been all season long. Teat could be the most efficient QB in the state as he has yet to throw an Int on the year while also sporting one of the best QB ratings of all #TN2024 signal callers.

RB: ‘25 [player_tooltip player_id='497421' first='Isaiah' last='Groves'] - East Robertson: 20 carr. for 181 yds & 2 TD's (3 rec. 114 yds & 2 TD's)

- Groves has been a constant top performer for most of the 2023 season and he put forth another strong showing last week, scoring four touchdowns in two different ways. The Indians junior running back has had such a good season that he should be in running for Mr. Football this year.

WR/TE: ‘26 [player_tooltip player_id='284149' first='Tyreek' last='King'] - Knox. Catholic: 9 rec. for 161 yds & 2 TD's

- Only a sophomore, King has already established himself as one of the best college receiver prospects in the state and he was big in the Fighting Irish's road victory last week over Brentwood Academy. You will continue to hear more and more about King over the next few years.

OL: Columbia Academy Bulldogs

- Led by senior [player_tooltip player_id='860493' first='Joshua' last='Byers'] and rising junior [player_tooltip player_id='1323060' first='Blake' last='Barker'], the Bulldogs had an excellent game in the trenches in their big 27-21 win over Nashville Christian. The Bulldogs five man front helped keep their QB clean for most of the night while also helping junior back [player_tooltip player_id='1002753' first='Montae' last='Baldwin'] produce over 150 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the night.

Ath: ‘25 [player_tooltip player_id='219351' first='William' last='Wiebush'] - Page: 3 tcks, 1 FR ret. for a TD, 1 Int (Pick Six); Also 1 rushing TD on Off.

- This junior two-way talent stepped forward in a big way last week in the Patriots road victory over Hillsboro. Wiebush took full advantage of his snaps on defense by producing two defensive touchdowns along with also contributing a rushing score on offense.

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='811071' first='Jaylen' last='Thomas'] - White Station: 9 tcks, 4 TFL, 7 QBH, 1 FR & 3 sacks

- Over the last few weeks, Thomas has been playing on another level and he continued that action last week by being a force for the Spartans defense by playing in the opponent's backfield all night long.

- - - - -

LB: ‘25 Zeb Pulliam - Fayette Academy: 23 tcks, 2 TFL, 1 FR & 2 sacks (14 carr. 99 yds rushing, 1 TD reception)

- The Vikings have them a stud to build their defense around for next season in Pulliam as he has been putting performances together like this all season long with last Friday probably being his best showing.

DB: ‘25 [player_tooltip player_id='1186125' first='Charlie' last='Goss'] - First Assembly: 13 tcks & 2 Int's

- This was a tough call as we had several strong DB performances last week but Goss takes it as he not only produced two Int's on the evening but also was everywhere on the field being a strong force against the run with 13 total tackles.
