Week 4’s Top Passing Performances
In perhaps a career game for himself, Marasciulo led his Red Raiders to a dominant 41-7 victory home against Kearny. In the game Marasciulo was 17 of 21 through the air for 271 yards and 5 touchdowns while not throwing an interception. Cliffside Park leveled their record to 2-2.
Lewis led his team to a 42-27 victory on the road at East Orange last week. In an extremely efficient game, Lewis was 17 of 21 for 237 yards. Efficiency aside, he threw 4 touchdowns to 0 interceptions. In doing so Lewis surpassed 1000 yards through the air on the season and has a 14:1 touchdown to interception ratio. Montclair is now 5-1 on the year.
Although it is rare for an out-of-state matchup at this juncture in the season, Highland won big over Palumbo in Pennsylvania. During the 38-0 victory Leary was 14 of 19 for 232 yards. Not necessarily earth-shattering numbers, but what caught my eye about Leary’s game was that he was 5:0 when it came to TDs:Ints. An efficient game highlighted by strike after strike while being careful with the ball.
Fisher is a prospect I recall witnessing at the AVC Mega Football Camp held on the FDU-Madison campus back in the spring. He has already put up impressive yardage totals – 381 and 371 in prior weeks – however he had his most complete, economical game yet against Montclair. Fisher went 23 for 29 with 364 yards. Although he did throw 2 interceptions, he doubled up his efforts with 4 touchdown strikes. A dual-threat in the Jaguars’ RPO scheme, Fisher ran 14 times for 162 yards and made 3 stops on defense. His yardage total in the game was a Michael Vick Madden ’04 total of 526.

Week 4’s Top Receiving Performances
Despite having to swallow a tough defeat at the hands of Montclair, Taylor had his best game of the year. In the 42-27 defeat, the Jaguar’s top receiver hauled in 6 balls for as season high 151 yards and 2 scores. He now has 27 receptions for 647 yards and 4 touchdowns. He has had four straight games with over 115 yards and three straight games with a score.
Winslow’s star receiver had another game that we are growing accustom to him having. In dominant fashion and with the ferris wheel in the background and all, the Eagles soared to a 40-6 victory over Ocean City. Despite a change at quarterback, Miller’s game was not effected. Miller hauled in 5 balls for 170 yards and 2 scores – a 34 yard per catch average – with a long reception of 79 yards. Miller now has three games this season with 170-yards-or-better and has found pay dirt in each of this last four games. Miller also added 5 tackles with 1 tackle for loss in the game.
As great of a season standout quarterback Maurice Williams Maurice Williams DB Dwight-Morrow | 2025 NJ is having, it is hard to imagine him doing it without an arsenal of weapons. Having his first major, breakthrough game of the season was Boyd, the sophomore target. in the 30-14 win at Millburn, Boyd tied a season high of 6 catches and set a career high with 152 receiving yards. Two of his six nabs went for scores. Boyd added an interception that went for a score the other way and converted two, two-point conversions in the contest as well. Entrenching himself as a reliable target, Boyd has scored in every game this year for a total of 7 touchdown catches; and he has also only had one game where he failed to score twice on offense.
During week 0 Pratt busted loose for 5 grabs and 123 yards. Since then it appears that his opponents cloaked him in coverage to limit his production; but then, Pratt struck again in week 5. In a 3-point victory against Shawnee, Pratt hauled in 9 receptions for 162 yards and 2 scores. His was his first 100-yard game since week 0 and first offensive strike since week 1. Additionally, on defense Pratt made a tackle and forced a fumble.

After handedly defeated Edison in week 0 44-12, it has been tough sledding for Bridgewater, as they have lost four-straight one possession games. In their last game at Ridge, Dane Sorensen Dane Sorensen 6’0″ | 170 lbs | WR Bridgewater-Raritan | 2024 NJ did his damndest to stope the streak. A senior, Sorensen led the state in receptions this week with 12. Those 12 grabs led to 165 yards – his highest total of the season – and 2 scores – his first since week 1 against Union.
Week 4’s Top Rushing Performances
Carteret is a team that is looking to not be denied. After missing the playoffs with a stellar 7-4 season, the Ramblers are rambling on 5-1 record. Off of the heels of a 46-7 victory over JP Stevens they look to Thomas to continue rolling. Last game Thomas was extremely explosive slashing 10/154/4 on the ground. Thomas now has four games with over 100 yards (three with 150 yards or better) and 13 scores on the season.
Smith is a player that Prep Redzone New Jersey has covered probably about four times this last week alone – and rightfully so. The stud back had yet another tremendous game as his Hammonton squad defeated Rancocas Valley 21-6. In the game Smith showed his durability by carrying the ball 30 times for 295 yards while he scored 3 times. This was Smith’s third game with better than 180 yards, third multi-touchdown game, and he has scored in all but one of Hammonton’s matchups this year. Ironically enough that game when he did not score he happened to rush for over 200 yards.
A player I had noted heading into week 5 as one to watch out for, Glenn neither disappointed nor made me look foolish. In a win on the road at Brick, Glenn exploded for his best game of the season – a 23 carry, 274 yard, and 4 touchdown performance. The game was Glenn’s third 200+ yard game and second straight multi-score game. He has had at least 20 totes each game for the 5-0 Jaguars.
Jones had the type of game that he will live to tell his children about. Granted his children may roll their eyes when he tells the story of how he led Hackensack to a 24-10 victory at Wayne Hills; however, here is the proof he needs. Jones ran 26 times for 348 yards on the ground while scoring thrice in the big victory. To add to the gaudy stat line, Jones accumulated 8 tackles and 2 tackles for loss in his game of a lifetime.

Our last top rusher for the week, and ceertainly not the least by any stretch of the imagination, is Logan Pych Logan Pych 6’0″ | 175 lbs | RB Vernon | 2024 NJ . Pych earned his work with a whopping 38 carries in the game. This total is actually his second highest of the season, as he had 42 totes in week 2. This week, however, Pych amassed more yardage with 337 in the game. He also crossed the goal line 4 times – representing all 4 of Vernon’s scores – in a 27-6 victory at Lakeland. Pych also caught a pass for 5 yards, while making 8 tackles (5 solo) on defense to go along with 1 interception.
Week 4’s Top Kicking Performances
Although his first name is not Cosmo, Kramer had an outstanding game kicking for Delbarton last week as he kicked the ball from the outer depths of the cosmos. In a 45-0 win against Paramus Catholic Kramer was a perfect 5 of 5 in PAT attempts; however, what caught my eye was that he absolutely banged his only field goal attempt of the afternoon, a 41-yard attempt. Giddy up!

It is not too often that you see kickers in high school attempt, let alone make, 2 field goal attempts in a game. That is exactly what Perez did last week, nailing both his field goal attempts in a 27-7 victory at Haddon Township. Int he 27-7 victory he also nailed all three of his PATs.
There is an underrated peace of mind that coaches get when they can rely on their kicker extending touchdown leads by a point every PAT attempt out. The price was right as Montclair’s Price banged through 7 PATs in 7 attempts in the Bulldogs 42-27 victory over East Orange.
Pajic had himself a very solid game in all three phases last time out against Williamstown, a 34-0 victory. He carried the ball twice for 10 yards, caught a 14-yard touchdown pass, had a tackle on defense; however, for purposes of this article he had a big impact on special teams as Cherokee’s place kicker. Pajic was a perfect 4 of 4 in PATs and was also impeccable on field goals as he went 2 for 2. His longest field goal make was a 21-yarder.
