Devin Craig Devin Craig 6'2" | 160 lbs | QB Lapel | 2026 State IN – Lapel – QB – 6’2″ 160lbs
Craig is in his second year starting, and when I tell you he turned the corner this year, I mean it. Last year, he was streaky, yet learning and showed some potential. This year has been a different story. He’s been a confident gunslinging QB since Week 1. He’s best in the pocket when he can drop back, read the field, and let the ball fly. He’s aggressive down the field, which is good at such a young age. I like to see the confidence and try throws. Some throws you can make, some you can’t but don’t know until you let it rip in certain situations. He’s got a decent arm in terms of strength, but it’s still developing. Accuracy and putting the ball where only his guy can get it is where he’s best. He does make some mistakes, but he’s a young QB letting the ball rip. He throws a nice ball and has a quick release as well. Everything with Craig points in a positive direction long-term. The size, instincts in the pocket, and arm talent should give him a long career. This year he’s completing 65.4% of his throws with 2447 yards and 27 TDs through the air. Craig is young, learning, but showing all the promise of a guy who can become a starter on Saturdays.

Matthew McKitrick Matthew McKitrick 5'11" | 195 lbs | ATH Western | 2026 State IN – Western – ATH – 5’11” 185lbs
McKitrick has burst onto the scene this year in such an explosive way, that it’s wild to me he wasn’t the workhorse last year. He was on the field and had 360 yards and 5 TDs as a freshman, but I don’t think anyone would have anticipated him turning around and having 1450 yards and 13 TDs in 8 games the next year, but that’s exactly what he’s done. He showed last year he could be a dynamic back, but it needed to be consistent. This year, he’s been nothing but that. Big play after big play and averaging almost 8 YPC speaks volumes about his efficiency. It’s not by coincidence, either. He’s quick, has great vision, and does a good job minimizing wasted movements through tight spaces, which allows him to shoot out the backside of the hole more often than not. He knows how to get small and then how to run behind his pads. He’s got all of these tools but then is a bigger back who can embrace contact and break as many tackles as he outruns. All of his offensive production aside, he then turns around and plays defense. He’s 2nd in the state in the sophomore class in tackles with 106. He’s also got 6 TFLs, 2 sacks, 2 PDs, and 2 forced fumbles. McKitrick has also been Punting this year and returning kicks. He’s such a dynamic athlete that it’s impossible to keep him off the field, and the fact he has the endurance for it all is incredible in its own right. McKitrick has been a revelation this year for Western and is showing why he could be a top recruit long-term.

Dominick Barry Dominick Barry 6'4" | 220 lbs | WR Center Grove | 2026 State IN – Center Grove – WR – 6’3″ 210lbs
Barry stands out immediately for multiple reasons. His size and frame are incredible. He’s thick, very well built, and has the frame of an upperclassman getting ready to leave to play Saturday ball. While he may be a bit raw with the route tree, he can develop it without a problem. He’s a big target who is able to go up and over guys for balls. 50/50 balls are more like 70/30 balls for him. His hands are huge and then really strong which allows him to make 1 handed grabs. With his thickness and strength, I wonder if some schools wouldn’t see him as a TE. He could block and then get off the line quickly still. He bends well and comes out of breaks without a problem. He’s been on the field this year and made a handful of plays showcasing what he could do in a few years. He had an impressive TD catch a few weeks ago against Lawrence North which sparked the offense which then caught fire for the rest of the game. He’s hard to bring down once he gets into the open field which only adds to the layers of his game. Barry is young, but flashing and making plays when his number is called which is exactly what you hope to see with a player of his potential.

Jazz Coleman Jazz Coleman 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Speedway | 2026 State IN – Speedway – ATH – 5’11” 185lbs
Coleman is a recruit we’ve hit a handful of times in the past just based on pure athletiscm and potential. However, this year he’s shown why I found him early and hammered him on pieces before he broke out. Sometimes, the talent is so obvious that you just have to wait for the opportunity to come. Coleman hasn’t just taken advantage of that opportunity this year, he’s lit it up and shown why he could be a Saturday star. The best thing to do on offense is get the ball in his hands. Whether he carries it or catches it, he’s as good as anyone with the ball in his hands. He’s explosive, accelerates quickly, and has such good balance that he can stay up in situations most others go down on. He’s got 743 yards and 7 TDs on the ground. He’s added 22 catches, 177 yards, and 1 TD in the passing game. However, it’s his feel for the defensive side of the ball that makes him so good. He sees things before they develop and shuts them down. He has no issue playing the run and regularly flies into the box to make a tackle. His closing speed is as good as anyone’s in the state and with his frame he’s beginning to really develop into, it’s becoming enough to get in the head of receivers. His 104 tackles, 10 TFLs, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles on the year round out his numbers. Coleman is going to be a star somewhere on Saturday’s playing football and whoever lands him is going to be thrilled.
