Matthew McKitrick is a highly skilled running back with great speed, quickness, and agility. Matthew showcases impressive speed and quickness, enabling him to burst through holes and outrun defenders. His acceleration allows him to reach top speed quickly, making him a constant threat in the open field. McKitrick demonstrates excellent leg drive, continuing to push forward and gain extra yards even when engaged by defenders. His football IQ and field awareness allow him to anticipate defenders and find open running lanes. McKitrick’s agility and ability to make sharp, decisive cuts enable him to evade tacklers and navigate through tight spaces. His change of direction skills add an element of unpredictability to his running style.

Breaking out and having a stellar year is the small school back from Western. He was someone I met a few summers ago at a camp and saw potential, but he needed to develop. Well, he has and he’s on his way to becoming a top back in the class. He’s versatile, has great vision, and can handle a full workload. 1600 yards and on the ground, another 100 yards through the air, and 14 total TDs landed McKitrick where he is now. He’s talented and should only continue to grow over the next few years, so he shouldn’t have an issue finding a home when the time comes.
