Parker is one of the top wide receivers in the state. Turn on the film, it’s easy to see why. The Iowa commit had another monster game last Friday in IC Catholic’s win over Marist. Parker had 114 yards on 6 catches and scored once. He has blazing speed and is incredibly smooth after the catch. Parker sees a lot of targets over the middle of the field, as the 5’11 standout can find holes in zone coverage and gain yards after the catch by outrunning defenders to the edge or getting vertical and making a cut to juke out multiple defenders. Long story short, Parker is tough to tackle in the open field. As IC continues to roll, so does Parker in his final season.
Ball went off for St. Laurence in their win over Leo last weekend as the Vikings improved to 4-1 . Ball found the end zone 4 times, as he raced for 140 yards on the night. Ball is an explosive tailback, as he hits the hole quicker than most and has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in tight windows. He also possesses elite speed, as Ball can out run nearly any defender to the edge to break off chunk yardage runs. He is extremely difficult to bottle up and has the skills to make defenders miss in a variety of ways. His speed stands out every Friday night, so keep an eye out for ball to continue flying the rest of the season.

Trautmann was a wrecking ball last weekend in York’s win over Hinsdale Central, as the Dukes remain perfect. York has won each game by at least 3 scores, and Trautmann has been a big contributor for one of the state’s top defenses. Trautmann posted a stat line of 7 tackles, 3.5 of which were for loss. He also added 2 sacks and a forced fumble. He showcased the ability to win in one-on-0ne pass rushing matchups all night, where his solid technique allowed him to pressure the opposing quarterback. In the run game, Trautmann continued to show off his speed and athleticism in both his physical play and his ability to chase down ball carriers at the line of scrimmage. Lookout for this high motor player to continue his dominance throughout the season.
George Asay
George Asay
The Montini Catholic slot receiver had a great showing on Friday, as the Broncos cruised to 5-0. Asay saw 7 catches for 157 yards and a touchdown. He is extremely difficult to tackle in space, as Asay moves in and out of cuts with ease. He is an incredibly sudden player, meaning he can throttle down and then accelerate to top speed in a moments notice. Asay is a homerun threat with the ball in his hands. He possesses a variety of moves that makes him difficult to bring down. The rising senior is sure to keep turning heads the rest of the season.
Diego Garcia
Diego Garcia
Sycamore continues to roll this season. A big reason why, Diego Garcia. Garcia had another impressive night on Friday, as the senior outside linebacker caused two turnovers. He posted a strip sack and an interception. These stats speak to Garcia’s game, as he is equally as good rushing the passer as he his in coverage. Garcia plays with a high motor and fantastic quickness. He has the ability to bend the corner and purse the opposing quarterback, flushing him out of the pocket and allowing himself to chase the QB down. In the pass game, Garcia moves with ease when working to his drop and transitions his hips quickly with eyes on the quarterback. This allows him to undercut routes to take the ball away. For the rest of his senior campaign, Garcia’s stock is on the rise.
