These athletes are talented prospects that are sure to show off their superior size, power, athleticism or combination of special traits that will begin to earn offers from college programs. Check out the linked film for each athlete as you go through this article. Enjoy!
Gavin is a stud on the defensive line. He is a massive athlete at 6’4″ 290 lbs and that frame is loaded up with length, athleticism, and power. It all comes together to make him a serious mismatch for OL in the trenches. Gavin explodes off the line and uses his upper body strength to shed blocks and rag doll OTs/OGs out of his path. The junior DL has nimble feet and excellent balance that gives him the ability to get around blocks with agility. Gavin also flashes a high level of awareness, like when he feels traps coming and perfectly takes on the blocker so he can set the edge and still possibly make the tackle. Gavin has the tools to be a camp standout and impact player at the next level.
Highlights
Hunter is an intriguing OT prospect to get eyes on. As soon as you turn on the tape the 6’5″ 315 lbs junior flashes devastating power behind his hands. His punches create pancakes or positive movement in the trenches. Hunter dominates in the run game with those hands and his lower body strength. Hunter also shows off some range to be able to pull across the formation, but he is at his best when he can instantly get hands on. Check out the film below.
Brock is an interesting prospect. He checks in at 6’1″ 230 lbs, and that frame comes packed with explosive power in his lower body. We see him line up at LB and also DT. Both positions allowed him the chance to show off how strong and quick he can fly off the ball to fly through gaps before the OL can cut him off. Brock also has the power to simply bull rush his way right through the block if they do get hands on him. Brock is a monster when he gets to attack downhill with his power, quickness, and high motor. Traits that should help him stand out at camps this summer.
Highlights
Daniel should have no problem grabbing attention at camps. He should always be one of the biggest QBs at any camp, standing 6’4″ 230 lbs. The junior is going to hold the attention when he starts letting the ball rip too. Daniel is blessed with a strong arm that explodes out of his hand and attacks all three levels of the field on a rope. The big man has surprisingly quick and agile feet that allow him to set, slide and reset, or get out of the pocket to buy time. Van Camp has done well developing his mechanics so everything works as one big unit, giving him the ability to be accurate from the pocket and on the run. Daniel is a name to highlight when you are at the same camp as him this summer. He has the size, mobility, and all around arm talent that will get him offers this summer.
Highlights
Trey is the type of mismatch that will quickly catch the eyes of coaches during camps this summer. He has an exceptionally long frame at 6’4″ and it is well put together at 200 lbs. Trey has quickly learned how to use that size to create separation at the catch. He can box out with body positioning or use that wingspan and soft hands to go up and high point it. The big target tracks the ball downfield well too. Trey projects as a TE at the next level based off his size and athleticism. He will be a problem for safeties, LBs, and CBs in the redzone.
