Demond Williams Demond Williams 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Basha | 2024 State AZ , QB, Basha ’24
Williams earns a POW nomination again with a big 48-14 win last week over O’Connor. On just 16 attempts, he went 15/16 for 356 yards and 6 TD’s, while racking up a TD and 54 yards on the ground. These past few weeks have been nothing short of dominant for Williams, and he put a tamp on his game Friday night to make it look easy against a tough opponent in O’Connor.
Gage Baker Gage Baker 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Paradise Honors | 2024 State AZ , QB, Paradise Honors ’24
The top gunslinger in 3A had himself another big night on the blowout win by going 30/40 for 368 yards and 7 TD’s. Baker is a largely slept on 3A prospect with a ton of tools in the box and has been doing everything he needs to be doing to spark his recruitment and rise his stock. He does an excellent job hitting throws with anticipation and timing and has really grown a ton with his pocket mechanics. A big time player that deserves to see the attention flood in ASAP.
Enoch Watson Enoch Watson 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB ALA Queen Creek | 2024 State AZ , QB, ALA-Queen Creek ’24
Watson had a highlight reel play and one that he’ll talk about for the rest of his life. He was able to score the winning TD in which he threw a pass that was deflected at the LOS, caught it, and then ran it in for six to beat Pinnacle 29-28. Watson finished the night 16/24 for 242 yards with 4 TD’s, and really put himself and ALA-QC north on the map in 6A with a win over a high quality opponent. He checks a ton of boxes and continues to impress each week, and it’s looking like BYU landed a gem.
Luciano Madda, QB, Chaparral ’24
Madda has waited 3 and a half years at Chaparral for this opportunity, and made the most out of it. After the highly talked about event in the transfer of starting QB Marcel Jones Marcel Jones 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Saguaro | 2026 State AZ in the middle of the season, Madda showed up prepared Friday night and helped Chap secure a 38-21 win over desert Vista. Madda showed solid touch, timing, and placement on numerous throws and ended his night throwing for 307 yards and 3 TD’s in his starting debut. Big time game for a kid who stepped up on short notice, and it’ll be interesting to see what he does the rest of the year.
Kaleb Burras, ATH, Heritage Academy-Laveen ’25
Burras put his name on the map last week in a close 50-40 win vs Trivium Prep. He didn’t throw much but when he did, he was super effective going 5/9 for 63 yards and a TD. His best work came on the ground as he proved to be a legit gamechanger when he takes off. Burras rushed for 262 yards and 4 TD’s on 21 carries and was really the key factor which led to that Heritage academy victory. He’ll be a small school kid to watch moving forward the rest of this season and into next.
