Kevin Allen Kevin Allen 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Helix | 2024 State CA III
Allen has been the most explosive playmaker out of the backfield in San Diego this season rushing 121 times for 716 yards and 9 TDs with 100+ yards and 1+ TD in each of Helix’s five games this season. He’s a fast, twitchy athlete that can race through the middle of the defense or get to the edge on perimeter runs. He flashes versatility as an effective coverage defender from his DB/Nickel spot. Allen’s speed, athleticism, and playmaking ability should continue to generate D-I offers for him (current offers: Utah St., Army, Eastern Washington).
Highlights
Autry has been productive, explosive, and efficient out of the backfield for Hoover totaling just under 900 yards (178 y/g) and 12 TDs on 94 carries (9.5 y/c). He’s a fluid, natural athlete that can elude and outrun defenders with track-level speed and agility. He deploys an effective stiff-arm and finishes aggressively through contact. Autry, who tested out among the top RBs at the PRZ-CA Showcase, should be due for his first offer in the near future.
Nick Patterson
Nick Patterson
Patterson is closing in on 1,000 rushing yards after five games with a section-leading 939 yards and 12 TDs on 135 carries. He’s a crafty ball-carrier with a bruiser’s mentality between the tackles that can find the lanes at the LOS and make defenders miss in tight areas. He’s a physical finisher that picks up yards after contact and violently lowers his shoulder into defenders at the second/third levels. Patterson and Escondido Charter (3-2) start league play on the road against Santa Fe Christian this Saturday.
Davian McGowan
Davian McGowan
McGowan delivered his top rushing performance in a 66-20 win over Grossmont in early September rushing for 225 yards and 3 TDs on 17 carries. He’s a low, compact back that can hit the hole hard at the LOS and attacks second/third level defenders downhill. He’s flashed receiving skills out of the slot and can fight through contact in goal-line situations. Injury limited him to just defense in Mount Miguel’s most recent win over RBV, posting 6 tackles, 2 PBUs and a FF.
Dominic Silva
Dominic Silva
Silva posted 30/304/7 TDs and 19/254/3 TDs in consecutive games for Valhalla this month. He’s a hard-nose runner that can bounce off contact and turn broken plays into positive yards. He lacks true game-breaking speed but makes up for it with his tough, balanced style of play as a ball-carrier. Valhalla hosts an explosive Mount Miguel team to start league play this Friday.
