#TN2024 Quarterbacks
Going into the 2023 football season, Smith was viewed as a Top 5 in-state quarterback and he will remain that way moving forward. The Hardin Co. senior signal caller has all the tools you need to play on the D1 college gridiron as he sports the size (6’3 190), arm talent and feel for the game that could allow him to see the field sooner than later on the next level. That statement is made due to his senior film through six games as Smith looks bigger, more fluid with his body movements along with increased arm strength. Looking at as much quarterback film as I do, Smith is one of the more underrated available senior quarterbacks not just in this state but the entire country and I think he will be a steal for whoever signs him. Sr Improvement: Smith has filled out more with his body, which in turn has placed more strength in his right arm. He shows more power and zip out of his throws. Smith also shows more comfortabilty behind center. He is poised under duress while keeping his eyes down field. Current Stats: 86-130 passing for 1,319 yards w/ 14 TD’s & 3 Int’s (79 yards rushing & 2 TD’s) QB Rating: 125.8

Delaware gained an absolute steal here with Streeter as I feel his best football days are ahead of him. Looking over his early season film, the Lions senior signal caller has vastly improved several areas about his game that has me thinking Streeter is a legit D1 caliber quarterback. He has size (6’2 195) arm strength, poise and a good feel for the game. Streeter runs a balanced offense at CPA, so his numbers aren’t as large as others but the future Blue Hen has tremendous upside as a gunslinger on the collegiate level. I see a high ceiling here with Streeter and someone that I think could warrant D1 looks if he ever decides to enter the portal once in college. Sr Improvement: Streeter has gained weight and it shows with his arm. The Lions senior passer shows more arm strength on film along with increased zip and ball placement. He also shows enhanced confidence and poise. When you watch his early senior clips, you see someone that stands strong in the pocket amongst pressure while keeping his eyes down field. Current Stats: 58-98 passing for 837 yds w/ 11 TD’s & 2 Int’s ….QB Rating: 115.9

You can tell by watching Tarleton’s senior clips that he took his off-season development seriously as it’s translating over to the field this Fall. He is decisive, poised and sharp in the pocket with his demeanor and throwing motion. Tarleton has sharpened up his mechanics, which in turn has increased his arm strength and became more accurate. What I’m liking the most about this Nashville area passer is his comfortability with the offense he is running and leadership he brings to the table. Tarleton has definitely taken a step up with his game, which I believe makes him a legit FCS prospect that could see a spike in his recruitment before it’s all said and done. Sr Improvement: Tarleton has made some of the best improvements of all QB’s from the #TN2024 class. He has vastly improved his feel for the game, especially within the pocket where on film he shows comfort, poise and command. The Firebirds senior prospect has also developed further his ability to read the defense and make a decisive throw. The arm strength has taken a tick up as well. Current Stats (5 GMS): 37-66 passing for 891 yards w/ 13 TD’s & 3 Int’s (144 yards rushing & 4 TD’s) …QB Rating: 121.5

It’s amazing what a year of maturity can do for some players. Roberts is a different player this year compared to previous season’s as he looks the part of a D1 guy and someone that has his team currently in position to compete for a state title. Through six games, Roberts is one of the best statistical passers in the state and that’s due to his command of the Bears offense as well his improved skill set that his him in contention for Mr. Football honors. What I see on film is a quarterback that has developed his mechanics further along with putting more strength in that right arm. His athleticism has evolved as well. Roberts shows nice pocket awareness and mobility on film that can increase his recruiting stock but also help his offense continue to put up big points. Watching this guy spin the ball the rest of the way will be exciting to watch. Sr Improvement: Roberts has put forth a breakout senior season thus far and taken his recruiting stock to another due to improved arm strength, a slight tweak in mechanics that has made a big difference as well as his mobility in and out of the pocket. The Bears signal caller looks more filled out too with his body, making himself look the part of a D1 quarterback. Current Stats: 93-133 passing for 1,458 yards w/ 18 TD’s & 4 Ints ….QB Rating: 133.5

Currently committed to VMI, Crump has earned that offer from the Keydets this season as this Mid-Tennessee talent has taken the next step in his progression by turning into one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the state, who has also improved his throwing abilities as well. Crump shows increased arm strength on film along with zip and understanding on when to get rid of the ball while placing it on time. His fearless approach to the position is exciting to watch as Crump handles the pocket well when being pressured while keeping his eyes down field and knowing when to tuck it and run. His play this year has not only boosted his stock but also placed him in contention for D2-Class AAA Mr. Football. Sr Improvement: Crump has taken his game to another level this year with improved arm strength, understanding defense’s as well as getting the ball out in a quick manner. All those traits tell me he has gained a better feel for the game where the game is slowing down for him, allowing his athletic traits to take over. Crump has increased speed too, allowing him to be one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the state. New Film: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12950936/64ffd59119a6860448c64919

A cerebral quarterback with a great feel for the position, Teat is as consistent as you will find in this state. The Tigers senior passer is one of the best at his position in the accuracy category. This guy can place the ball wherever he wants to and this year, Teat has increased his arm strength further to make his throwing abilities look even more impressive. Looking over his early season clips, Teat shows tremendous ball placement along with standing strong in the pocket with his eyes down field as he is being pressured. Teat will always be a tad undersized at 6’0 180 pounds plus but this is a coach on the field, someone who understands the game and a leader that will do anything it takes to see his team win. Sr Improvement: Where this Mid-TN talent has improved the most is with his arm strength but also his ability to move off his first receiver to find his secondary option. Teat has gotten bigger overall, which can allow him to take hits and keep going on the next level. As Teat continues to mature, he will only get smarter and sharper with his mind and game overall and would be a steal for whoever signs him. Current Stats: 65-102 passing for 925 yards w/ 14 TD’s & 0 Int’s (57 yards rushing & 1 TD) …QB Rating: 132.6

The current passing leader by yardage in this state, Fisher is having a breakout senior year that is boosting his recruiting stock while also placing him in the mix for Mr. Football honors. The Pats senior prospect is a gunslinger by nature and you can see that within his early season clips. Fisher has enhanced his arm power, which has helped tremendously as you can see the difference on film while also becoming more mobile both in and out of the pocket. He also sports some of the best mechanics in the state for the #TN2024 class. Fisher will need to continue stringing together strong performances moving forward but he has done enough at this point to move up in our rankings while also becoming a legit FCS level recruit. Sr Improvement: The biggest area of improvement you can see from Fisher is his arm strength. That increased arm power makes a huge difference for him as he is able to make more throws that he couldn’t before while also giving him more confidence. More weight is needed for Fisher to compete fully on the next level but he looks to be on the right track at the moment. Current Stats: 136-237 passing for 1,881 yards w/ 20 TD’s & 7 Int’s ….QB Rating: 98.8

Transferring to Brentwood for his senior season, much wasn’t known about Hayes but after watching him perform in person this summer at camps and viewing his current senior clips, this 6’1 passer is legit and someone that could sneak into the D1 ranks. The thing that may be holding college coaches back from Hayes is his size and overall body weight. He does need to pack on the pounds but the Bruins senior quarterback has a great feel for the position along with good arm strength and the knowledge of where to place the ball on time for his receivers. Hayes is also quite mobile, providing good pocket awareness and the ability to tuck it and run. This Mid-TN talent will need time to mature and get bigger on the next level but his upside appears strong and someone worth developing on your college roster. Sr Improvement: Watching Hayes from this summer into the Fall season, he looks more confident along with better accuracy. His early clips show some college level throws in some tight windows that make you smile. Hayes also presents shifty feet that allows him to move in and out of the pocket quickly. Current Stats: 57-99 passing for 838 yards w/ 7 TD’s & 3 Int’s (71 yards rushing & 3 TD’s) ….QB Rating: 96.3

Even though the Eagles aren’t having a good season, Schippers shows on film vast improvement and upside to play football on the next level. Sporting good size and mobility, the Eagles senior signal caller displays enhanced feel for the game as well as an arm that can push the ball down field. Schippers definitely worked on his arm strength this off-season along with his ability to get the ball out quicker. You can see the increased power and zip on his passes when looking over his senior clips. That arm power along with his mobility and size might give this West-TN talent an ability to reach the college game. The one thing lacking right now is winning games, so maybe if the Eagles can pick it up over the 2nd half of the season, Schippers may see an increase with his recruitment. Sr Improvement: The first quality that stands out about Schippers is his ball placement combined with his arm power. Those two traits allow the Eagles passer to get the ball out and on time along with the power to push it down field. He has added increased strength to his overall frame but more weight must be added to fully compete on the collegiate gridiron.Current Stats: 880 yards passing w/ 12 TD’s & 3 Int’s
