The trenches are often overlooked and underappreciated at all levels of football but the big boys need their fair share of praise too! They are what make the entire operation possible and arguably the most important positions on the team. Here are 10 offensive linemen that looked good on film from week three of high school football in West Virginia.

[player_tooltip player_id='875762' first='Josiah' last='Stratton'] - Lincoln County '25 OL

The first thing you notice when watching Lincoln County offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='875762' first='Josiah' last='Stratton']'s highlights is his physical size. The 6'0 270 junior stands out from most linemen on the field just on looks. You can tell he spends ample time in the weight room and is a strong athlete which really benefits him on the football field. Stratton holds down the blind side for the Panthers and held up well against Ripley in week three. He asserted his will against an overmatched Ripley defensive front and Stratton did a great job getting his hands on defenders and controlling them easily.

[player_tooltip player_id='908152' first='Peyton' last='Kaufman'] - Martinsburg '25 OL

Martinsburg junior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='908152' first='Peyton' last='Kaufman'] makes his debut in our weekly big-man standouts. The 6'3 245 junior anchors the Bulldogs' offensive line from his center position and he performed very well against Boys Latin (MD). Kaufman handled the bigger Boys Latin zero-tech nose guard and took him out of the game. He played with good leverage and really controlled his man not allowing him to get any penetration into the backfield. While he'll need to continue adding weight, Kaufman appears to be quite strong and that was evident with how he stood up his defender all game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1126406' first='Christian' last='Skidmore'] - Lincoln '25 OL

[player_tooltip player_id='1126406' first='Christian' last='Skidmore'] was a road grader in Lincoln's blowout victory over Grafton. The 5'11 280 junior is the starting left guard for the Cougars and performed well in the run game where the offense put up 69 points against the Bearcats. I'd like to see more pass-blocking film from Skidmore but I liked his physicality in the rushing game. He has a wide frame which benefits him in that part of the offense and Skidmore had a couple of pancake blocks in the contest. His last clip of his week three highlights really shows you how strong he is driving his man 5 yards down the field before putting him on his back.

[player_tooltip player_id='1126397' first='Tajai' last='Davis'] - George Washington '25 OL

The George Washington Patriots have some serious talent on their offensive line but we have yet to touch on junior right guard [player_tooltip player_id='1126397' first='Tajai' last='Davis'] this season. The Capital transfer was up against a very talented Hurricane defensive line and Davis looked very good against the competition. His footwork and hand fighting jumped out to me when watching his week three film and Davis was stout all night. The 6'0 270 2025 prospect held his ground well even when he was matched up against some bigger defensive lineman. Davis looked fundamentally sound and passed off defenders to get his hat on another one when he needed to. He was able to push around some defenders at times too even when he was giving up some size on them.

[player_tooltip player_id='908621' first='Ethan' last='Chill'] - Hurricane '25 OL/DL

Hurricane lost in a tough close battle against George Washington but junior offensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='908621' first='Ethan' last='Chill'] was very physical against a talented Patriots squad. Chill is a slimmer offensive lineman right now at 6'3 235 but he was teeing off on some George Washington defenders. He was able to blow opposing defensive linemen off the ball and was driving them 5-8 yards down the field at times which was fun to watch. Chill might be a defensive lineman at the next level but he looked very good at right tackle this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='370359' first='Anthony' last='Rivera'] - University '24 OL

Anthony "Cookie" Rivera had some nice film in their game against Brooke this week The 6'2 285 senior is a physical player but also moves well for his size. I liked how he moved when he was pulling and getting to the second level of the defense. It was impressive to see him chip a defensive lineman before getting to his next man and Rivera was laying the boom on some defenders in the game. He puts a lot of power behind his blocks and hits like a ton of bricks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1022659' first='Ryan' last='Principe'] - Morgantown '24 OL

Morgantown had a very hard-fought and physical win over Musselman and the trenches were going to war. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1022659' first='Ryan' last='Principe'] who impressed during the summer camps season had a nice game at tackle for the Mohigans. Principe saw time at left and right tackle showing his versatility against a very talented Musselman defensive line. He held said defensive linemen in check most of the night and the 6'1 330 senior showed what we saw at camps. Principe is very tough to get around and is very stout in the Mohigans' Wing offense. He may not have the quickest feet but when he stays in front of his defender it's nearly impossible to get away from him. Principe will slide inside at the next level and should be a good player at guard with his skillset and size.

[player_tooltip player_id='370776' first='Brady' last='Breeden'] - Martinsburg '25 OL

The Martinsburg Bulldogs really controlled the line of scrimmage against Boys Latin (MD) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='370776' first='Brady' last='Breeden'] joins fellow teammate and classmate [player_tooltip player_id='908152' first='Peyton' last='Kaufman'] on our week three big-man standouts. The 6'6 280 big man is playing left guard this season and Breeden looked formidable in run blocking. He was able to get that big body moving when he pulled and opened some big holes for the Bulldogs' running game. Breeden handled a late blitzer very well and left a double team to pick up the blitzer and stone-walled him. At his size, he's a tough matchup for most high school defensive linemen and that was on display in week three.

[player_tooltip player_id='997461' first='Brock' last='Kuttie'] - Linsly '25 OL

Linsly junior offensive tackle spent last season on the Cadets' JV team but the 6'5 270 big man has now taken over their starting right tackle position for his junior year. Kuttie obviously has the prototypical size that you are looking for in an offensive tackle but he also showed in week three that he can play the position well too. Linsly was up against a very tough St. Francis DeSales (OH) team and Kuttie saw some tough competition. He more than held his own and was often put on an island with his man straight up and really controlled him. Kuttie flashed his power and strength in the running game but also had some nice clips of pass blocking. With his size, he's going to get plenty of college looks in the next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1106780' first='Desmond' last='Mack'] - Oak Hill '24 OL

6'1 270 Oak Hill senior offensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1106780' first='Desmond' last='Mack'] makes his debut on our weekly big man standouts. Mack is the starting right tackle for the Red Devils and they ask their tackles to pull a lot in their offense. Mack is capable of doing so and you don't want to meet him in the hole when he's coming full speed at you. He can get out in space and block as well on screens and at the second level of the defense. Mack is a big-bodied physical kid who is a people mover in the running game. He had several pancake blocks in his week three highlights against a very talented Princeton team and Mack earned his first spot on our weekly big man standouts.
