Continue ReadingThe class of 2027 will be entering high school this fall. The early analysis of this class is strong and we will continue to learn more about these rising prospects during the 2023 season and thereafter. In this special preview series, we will explore my Top New England Freshman (c/o2027), I have eyes on who could crack the Varsity lineup and be ranked at the Top of their respected class after the Fall 2023 season.
Every year we see young rising athletes that have freakish physical traits and skill sets coming out of middle school and seen as “FREAKY FRESHMAN”. These same athletes are usually capable of already passing the college Coaches’ famous “eye test”. It’s happening more and more each year. We do recognize that the vast majority will still need to develop technically, however, we have seen many already have the mindset and competitive ability to compete at the varsity level.
Our Prep Redzone Next National Scouting Director “Al Pops”, has evaluated many of these athletes during their youth playing years and now we will be sure to keep you posted on their recruitment through High school.
In this continued weekly series, I will identify c/o 27 prospects that I have seen perform in a live setting, or have viewed their 8th-grade film or Fall 2023 film, and have projected them as future New England-ranked athletes. This is Part 1.
Rowan Martin2027 ATH 6ft Wiliston Northampton School | 6’0 145
Projection: This 6ft athlete is one I’ve gotten a report on from a few regional coaches to keep a strong eye on. He attends Williston Northhampton in Ma. He has an obvious length in his arms with plenty of room for additional growth and development. Saw him at a camp and he didn’t disappoint. He can bend and be agile. Displays good hand and eye coordination and catches the ball away from his body easily and with consistency. A very well-character athlete who should see some reps at the Varsity level this fall 2023 season.

Jareth Staine Jr.
C/o 2027, QB, Springfield Central High School 6’0, 160 lbs
Projection: Remember the name!!!! He is only a 8th grader (class of 2027), and is in a next up situation as a rising QB freshman in fall 2023. He will attend Springfield Central in Massachusetts in fall 2023. His performance at a 2023 spring showcase held at his school, earned him a very early offer from in state Boston College. On track to be a high level D1 recruit who will surely make our rankings when released in January 2024.

Cole Cormier
Class of 27′ 260 lbs 6’3” OL Choate Rosemary Hall
Projection: A relentless pursuer from the defense tackle position. Has very good early aggression seen in his skill set. Should see early action this fall 2023 and surely be considered for our updated c/o of 2027 rankings after the season.

C/O 2027 O-Line | Tabor Academy | 6’7”| 275 lbs | 6’9.5 wingspan| Team Ontario’22, ‘23/ALL-Ontario Offensive Line/3.3 GPA
Projection: Seen him perform at the 2023 Bone camp in June 2023. He showed very good promise and easily looked like he belonged in the environment. His large 6’7″ frame is very noticeable and attracts. He is surely ahead of his peers with knowledge and ability. He displayed good aggression and toughness for a young prospect. Has a very promising future and should be a kid we rank within the class of 2027 when rankings are released in January 2024.
Has a very impressive wingspan. Very large frame who should easily find a spot on the Varsity level in fall 2023. Projected Div 1 recruit who holds early offer from Umass.
