Next Friday night we kick off week 1 of High School Football. For this article, I am focusing on players who I expect to have a strong season, but who have not gotten a lot of recognition yet. The players below should have breakout seasons for their respective teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='524351' first='Corbett' last='Brickle Jr']. Lebanon. Brickle played defensive line and guard last year for Lebanon. At defensive line, he primarily played nose tackle and shows an ability to be a one-man wrecking crew for the interior offensive line. He gobbles up double teams and forces them into the backfield. He also showed good pass-rush moves and created a lot of pressure for opposing offensive players. At guard, he is a devastating blocker, who does a good job pulling and kicking out defenders. Brickle has been getting some looks from some colleges, and below is an offer from a Division 2 college called Texas State. I expect more offers to come his way.

[player_tooltip player_id='802005' first='Kyle' last='Jankowski'] Conestoga Valley. Jankowski played wide receiver last year for Conestoga Valley. He played outside wide receiver and flashed some solid skills at wide receiver. He catches the ball well and does a nice job of making plays after the catch. He doesn't have the best speed but makes up for it by catching the ball well and making people miss after the catch. I expect he will be a bigger contributor for Conestoga Valley this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='706111' first='Elijah' last='Cunningham'] Lancaster Catholic. Cunningham played running back for Lancaster Catholic last year after being moved there from wide receiver. Cunningham had a good year last year, but I expect he will have a monster year this year. With an inexperienced quarterback taking over at Catholic, I am expecting them to rely on the run game more this year. Cunningham is expected to be a huge part of this running game and it would not surprise me if he has a monster Senior Year. He currently has an offer from Wilkes University, but I think more offers should come his way.

[player_tooltip player_id='819722' first='Dominic' last='Diaz-Ellis'] Bishop McDevitt. Diaz-Ellis has had an interesting off-season. He played his 1st two years at Columbia where he was a dominant player. Then it looked like he was going to transfer to Hempfield, but now he is playing for Bishop McDevitt. He will be overshadowed by [player_tooltip player_id='255045' first='Rico' last='Scott'], but it would not surprise me if he gets on the field and makes some plays for McDevitt this year. He also has the benefit of catching passes from Kentucky commit Stone Sanders. I expect Diaz-Ellis to get on the field and make some plays for McDevitt.

[player_tooltip player_id='164516' first='Jeremiah' last='Hargrove'] Trinity. Hargrove spent last year at Carlisle but transferred over to Trinity this year. Hargrove is a legit homerun threat every time he touches the ball. He played running back and slot wide receiver. At both positions, he showed elite moves to make people miss in space and the speed to run past defenders. Hargrove also showed that he can catch the ball as a slot receiver and as a running back. Hargrove is another weapon for Trinity to use all over the field. I expect Hargrove to get plenty of reps this season.
