Jackson Sorgi Jackson Sorgi 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Tri-West | 2027 State IN – Tri-West – QB – 6’1″ 170lbs
Sorgi is going to be a 2 sport star for Tri-West much sooner than later. The son of former NFL QB and Super Bowl 41 Champion, Jim Sorgi, Jackson has the pedigree and raw athletic ability for either baseball or football. Admittedly, at first glance at his profile and accolades, it seems he may end up down the baseball path, but that only speaks to his potential upside as a QB. He’s got a big arm. Throwing an 86 mph fastball entering his freshman year is pretty elite stuff. However, if he performs on the football field, it will be hard to keep schools away from him. Sorgi has a few things going for him that very few players ever will. Elite arm talent. I mean elite. And, being able to pick the brain of a brilliant QB and coach at home goes so far in being able to understand the game. By all accounts, Sorgi is dripping with potential and talent.

Keegan Bouwkamp Keegan Bouwkamp 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Zionsville | 2027 IN – Heritage Christian – 6’3″ 195lbs
Bouwkamp has an incredibly impressive frame for such a young age in terms of development. I saw him work at the XFactor QB camp a few months back. While he wasn’t the top guy there, he was able to stand in with the older competition and compete. He throws a nice ball and can see the entire field without an issue. If he develops properly, he could light up defenses sometime soon on a Friday night. Bouwkamp is exactly the reason you create watch lists heading into their freshman year, so you can watch the fireworks before anyone else.

Oscar Frye Oscar Frye 6'1" | 165 lbs | QB Brownsburg | 2027 State IN – Brownsburg – QB – 6’1″ 155lbs
Frye is an impressive player, so much so that he forced my hand to cover him early this summer. I tried to make a point not to cover any 27s until late July/early August solely to give the upperclassmen the respect they’ve earned, and to let some dust settle on what’s going on with the 27 class, however, Frye lit up the XFactor QB to the point I had to cover him. He had such an impressive day. He was throwing guys open, throwing with anticipation, and has a nice deep ball. He’s certainly impressive heading into his freshman year and if he ends up forcing Brownsburg’s hand, I wouldn’t be shocked.

Cole Stephens Cole Stephens 6'2" | 165 lbs | QB Greencastle | 2027 State IN – Greencastle – QB – 6’2″ 165lbs
Stephens is a dual-threat QB who has a really good chance to push for meaningful reps this year, if not right away. He’s got a nice frame and takes really long strides. He’s able to turn the corner and chew up yards much quicker than I think defenses will expect. He’s not someone to take lightly in the running game but then has the arm to develop into a fantastic passer. While he doesn’t have the biggest arm, he’s more than capable and could easily have more defined arm strength. His footwork isn’t bad and is an area you can tell he works on. I think the potential is sky-high for Stephens and think he could take his conference by storm if everything falls together.

Alex Phillips Alex Phillips 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB East Noble | 2027 IN – East Noble -QB – 5’11” 165lbs
Phillips is such a dynamic athlete that if he doesn’t start at QB this fall, I’d bet he finds a role somewhere else for the time being. Winning the starting job this year would be pretty impressive beating out Brazel, but regardless you can’t help but be anxious to see Phillips on the field. Last year for the 8th grade team he was returning kicks along with running the offense. To put it lightly, it often seemed like he was by far the best player and athlete on the field. He was running circles around other guys, literally and figuratively, but then could drop it over the top and kill their backend defense. Phillips is fun, should be on the field in 1 form or another, and has such a bright future if he develops the right way.
