Sorgi has a quick release, strong arm, good mobility and has great touch on the deep ball. Sorgi had a great year, throwing for 2,911 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2025.

The son of longtime Peyton Manning backup Jim Sorgi really shined in 2025. Sorgi, a Class of 2027 quarterback, has a quick release, throws with excellent velocity and accuracy over the middle of the field, and flashes good timing and touch on the deep ball. Sorgi has the height and frame (6-foot-5, 205 pounds) that college coaches covet. The Louisville commit finished the year with 2,911 yards passing and 31 passing touchdowns with 156 yards and two touchdowns rushing.

Sorgi was about as good as humanly possible on Friday, and every time I watch him, he seems to get better and more comfortable. He’s got a live arm that can make all the throws, and he can add the touch downfield. He’s always in total control of the offense, and you can see he’s able to process the field. He only had 5 incompletions on Friday and then threw for 245 yards and 4 TDs as they beat West Vigo 35-14.

Tri-West understands what they have in Sorgi and let him do his thing. He went 19 of 28 for 332 yards and 4 TDs on the night. He then scored from 1 yard out on the ground. Sorgi was dialed in, and Tri-West was just too much for Brebeuf to keep up with.

Although Tri-West came up short on Friday, it wasn’t because Sorgi failed his guys. He showed up, arguably had his best game of the year, and showed so much potential you can’t help but get excited. The son of the former NFL QB has all the traits you want. He’s confident in the pocket and can deliver a good ball in stride. 21 of 31 for 410 yards and 4 TDs on the night for Sorgi as they fell just short.
