Continue ReadingWith each update comes a ton of new names to the rankings. These new names are a major contributor to the shifts that we see as we try to organize each list into the most accurate order to represent the talent available. This update gave us a lot of new top end talent with nearly 20 of the new additions debuting inside the Top 100 ovearll. Today, we are going to take a look at the top new additions and what they have to offer at this point in their development. Let’s get started with a massive OL to know.
The sophomore OL out of DeForest easily passes the eye test as soon as you see him. He is an imposing 6’6” 295 lbs, and it is impressive watching him move around. Dane is well on his way to developing the body control needed to able to potentially play high level college football. You don’t see him reaching and putting his body in awkward positions. He is patient with his strikes and trusts his feet to get him there. The big man looks like he is just starting to scratch the surface too. The more he grows into his huge frame the more athletic and fluid I expect him to become. So his debut at #16 ovearll may just be the start for the big, strong OL out of DeForest.

Xavier fielded a dominant defense in 2022 with multiple athletes to know. One of them is the OLB/Edge defender Carter Appl Carter Appl 6’3″ | 210 lbs | LB Xavier | 2025 State WI . Appl checks in at 6’2″ 195 lbs. As a sophomore, Carter proved to be a disruptive force off the edge piling up 15 TFLs, and 8 sacks. The incoming junior has a quick first step and quickly accelerates from there. He has the speed to close quickly and the range to be able to chase down plays from behind. There are also a few clips in his highlights that show good bend while rushing the edge, and the balance to be able to quickly change direction or squeeze down the line. To top it all off the edge defender is a good wrap up tackler who ends plays when he gets hands on the ball carrier.

A rising playmaker who is sure to turn heads this fall is the Shawano QB/ATH Jerzy Brocker Jerzy Brocker 6’2″ | 200 lbs | DB Shawano | 2025 State WI . Jerzy piled up over 2,100 all purpose yards along with 4 INTs on defense. The 6’1″ 190 lbs athlete has the frame and athleticism to be able to fit into multiple roles and positions at the next level. QB may not even be his best position, but Brocker’s natural athleticism carries over to his passing. He makes it look easy, whether firing a pass downfield or dropping it into a spot with touch. On the ground, Jerzy has good vision and won’t hesitate to lower the shoulder and make a hole for himself. He has the sub 4.6 speed to create the big plays too. On defense, Jerzy is used in what looks like cover 3. That allows him to quickly process what he sees and then put himself in position to make plays. Two things he thrives at. I expect exciting film this fall from the Shawano junior.
The 6’1″ 235 lbs DE out of Kimberly is going to make a name for himself this fall. His sophomore tape has me excited. Sawyer plays with a super high motor that accentuates his athletic and physical traits. Traits that include consistent and effective hand use. Sawyer has shown multiple pass rush moves as well as lateral agility to defeat one on one blocks as well as double team blocks. Hanlon’s strength has been key to his success as well. While he isn’t the biggest, and may still be growing, Sawyer has shown he can hold his ground with his strong lower body. What has me excited is that his lower body has gotten even stronger, illustrated by his 485 lbs squat. Get ready for a big year from the edge rusher.

An athlete who should start to garner plenty of next level attention is Stoughton’s 6’3″ 200 lbs OLB Mason Richter Mason Richter 6’3″ | 200 lbs | LB Stoughton | 2025 State WI . Richter looks like he is well on his way to proving that he is a true three down LB. Against the run, Mason is aggressive, closes quickly, and has the length and strength to be able to keep blocks off of him. As a blitzer, Mason has the burst and speed to be able to hit gaps faster than most OL can react. What really sets Mason apart is his ability to play in coverage. Mason is a fluid mover in every direction, has the range to cover a wide zone, and does a good job of jumping throwing lanes to knock down or pick off passes. This is a must add to recruiting boards.
One of the top WRs in this group is looking like the 6’2″ 180 lbs athlete out of Milton. Vincent tracks the ball well and adjusts to it to find ways to haul it in. He has developed good balance along the sideline as well. His soft hands allow him to maximize the length he has and size advantage so he can go up and over his opponent to high point the ball. Churchwell also is a solid athlete. He can pull away in the open field after the catch and stretch the field. Milton is going to field multiple impressive WRs this fall. Teams looking for big targets, look there.
Reggie quickly became a favorite during my time watching his film. The 6’1″ 235 lbs DT is a game wrecker. While does lack the ideal size right now, there isn’t much else to downgrade him on. Reggie has developed an impressive base of strength that he uses to collapse the pocket as he bull rushes IOL into the QB. Kloehn is also very quick out of his stance with his first step and with his lateral agility. He shoots through gaps and is able to side step in an instant. The junior seems to play with a consistently high motor as well. I am exited to see what the Hortonville product does as a junior. Keep an eye on him.
Another rising, do-it-all athlete is Tomah’s Alex Boyko Alex Boyko 6’1″ | 165 lbs | ATH Tomah | 2025 State WI . The 6’1″ 165 lbs DB/WR is a playmaker in all three phases of the game. His biggest plays have come on special teams as a kick returner. Alex has patience, vision, and acceleration that mold together very well making him a dangerous man with the ball in his hands and space to run. On defense, Alex has the speed to be able to turn and run with essentially any receiver thanks to his high quality track speed. As a punt returner and receiver we get more of a glimpse of Alex’s excellent agility and elusiveness in tight quarters. Look for Alex to be a key piece for Tomah this fall on offense, defense, and special teams.
The 6’2″ 260 lbs junior out of St. Croix Falls HS is a man mover in the run game. Logan fires out of his stance low, with good knee bend and uses that leverage to dig DL out of the trenches and then runs his feet until he puts his man on his back. Logan has the body control and balance to stay very under control throughout his blocks. He doesn’t fall off or reach. He stays in control of his man. Bockman also has the athleticism to be able to reach or collapse his man down the line of scrimmage. As I mentioned above, the big man also plays with the required nasty mentality you need along the interior as he looks to finish every block into the dirt. Look for Logan to be opening up massive running lanes this fall for St. Croix Falls.
