Prep Redzone has all the details below...

[player_tooltip player_id='632843' first='Jared' last='Echols'] - South Gwinnett

One of the more underrated quarterbacks across the state in the 2024 class, Echols stands firm in the pocket and can launch the ball accurately down the field. He has plenty of arm strength, but he has the ability to put touch and air under the ball. The former Alexander quarterback, Echols will now play at South Gwinnett this fall as a senior, and he's looking to lead the Comets back to their winning ways. He can read a defense, moves well in the pocket, and can deliver a strike. He shows D1-caliber arm talent and will look to show it off a good bit this fall. As a junior last year, Echols threw for just under 2,200 yards with 18 touchdowns and just four INTs. He takes care of the ball and doesn't force his throws. The 6-foot-1 180-pounder's best game last year came against East Paulding where he threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns. He can absolutely win a game with his arm and has a chance to really turn South Gwinnett around this year. He'll be a Gwinnett County quarterback to keep a close eye on this fall.

AJ Watkins - Norcross

A playmaking quarterback who played very well down the stretch last year as a junior, Watkins is ready to show his improvement this year as he hopes to lead a talented Norcross Blue Devil team towards another big year. At 6-foot-2 180-pounds, Watkins showed a big arm and plenty of accuracy down the field last year. He throws a catchable ball that hits his receiver in stride. A good athlete, Watkins moves well in the pocket and knows how to read a defense. He can see gaps down the field and loves to air it out towards the end-zone. Of of the leading 2024 quarterbacks in Gwinnett County last year, Watkins has enough talent to have another big season as a senior in 2023. As a junior in 2022, Watkins threw for over 2,100 yards and 23 touchdown passes. An excellent runner as well, Watkins took off for 606 yards and 7 touchdowns, showing why he's one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the area,

Carlos Keverene Singleton - Liberty County

One of the more athletic quarterbacks in Southeast Georgia, Singleton may not be the biggest quarterback around, but he's mobile and loves to chuck the ball down the field. A dual-sport star who also shines on the baseball diamond, Singleton's natural athleticism is easy to notice on film. He has promising arm talent, but his quick feet and mobility in the pocket has allowed him to buy time, scan the field, and make a strong throw. When there's nowhere to throw, Singleton has no problem tucking the ball and taking off on the ground. When he does throw it around, he throws with touch and allows the receiver to run underneath the pass. As a junior last year, Singleton threw for just over 2,000 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also rushed 71 times for 536 yards and five more touchdowns. Look for him to have a big-time senior season this fall.
