With some key players returning, the offense should be explosive and the defense has some very fast and physical pieces on all three levels. Here, we will breakdown some of the rosters top players and names to note as we head into the 2023 season.
Williams is one of the top players in the country and has been putting together a very impressive career for Basha. He is currently ranked as a four-star recruit across all sites and recently de-committed from Ole Miss and has been crystal balled to Arizona over the past few days. He is a elite passer with pocket mobility, a very high IQ, strong-arm, quick release and excels at making plays with his feet outside of the pocket. Williams has plenty of varsity experience and will once again lead a loaded Basha team in 2023.
Lockhart is another elite player that recently committed to Ohio State and is a 25+ offer Kid heading into a senior year. He is a physical and very technically sound corner with fluid hips, elite breaking ability and open field speed. He also flashes outstanding ball skills and a high IQ in zone coverage. He checks in as our top player at the position across Arizona and will lead the back end of a loaded defense for Basha.
Garcia is a massive kid that should fit nicely inside at the next level and currently holds an offer from Arizona, which is definitely where he could be headed. He is a true interior mauler with heavy hands, good feet for his size and finishes blocks downfield while able to pull when needed. As he continues to transform his body and keep his athleticism he should be able to make a positive impact on the college roster.

Once again, he will be one of the top defensive backs across the state in the Fall.

Mayberry is ranked as a three star prospect and has four offers at the FBS level. Checking in inside the top three at the position in our current rankings, he is a physical tight end with strong hands and can make contested catches look easy in traffic. He’s explosive out of his stance while not afraid to block in the box and do some dirty work in the run game. He moves very well for his size, and shows good strength and power at the POA, making him a very high floor guy in college.
Arhin is one of the top pass catchers across the state, and currently holds six Division I offers. He is a no brainer power five caliber kids that can help any roster at that level and will be one of the top players to watch as we get into the Fall and see what school he ends up committing to. He is a smooth route runner with patience, short area quickness in and out of his breaks while showing tracking abilities and the ability to make contested catches in the red-zone. His downfield speed and long strides allow him to get seperation downfield and shows that he is a true vertical threat.

Bleier is a true thumper at mike backer, and is a violent hitter in the box that runs through pullers/scrapers and gets downhill quickly with a quick trigger and closing speed. He processes plays quickly and can sniff out screen/draws while able to get off blocks quickly and knife into the backfield either by going through blockers, or using his hands and finesse at the POA. Leading the Basha defense this Fall, he will once again be one of the more productive linebackers in the state.
