Continue ReadingChester’s two-way star has trekked an unprecedented climb up our ranks from the moment Coach Shaw put him on our radar. From WL to top 200, to top 50, now seeing his first placement inside the top 25. Now ranked as the top tight-end prospect in the state, Dominic Toy Dominic Toy 6’5″ | 225 lbs | TE Chester | 2024 State PA also doubles as a top 5 EDGE rusher if ranked at DL. A complete skillset, despite those who doubt the competition level Chester matches up against on Fridays and Saturdays. The best athlete on this list, boasting a versatile skill set that allows him to serve as a big target, or take the top off a defense if split out. He’s a Power Five target who should see an influx in offers after the first three weeks of the season.
Aiden Black Aiden Black 6’3″ | 225 lbs | TE Delaware Valley | 2024 State PA has sat atop the tight-end rankings for years. Although he’s been surmounted by Chester’s Dominic Toy Dominic Toy 6’5″ | 225 lbs | TE Chester | 2024 State PA , a look at overall rank and you can see how close the prospects are from each other. You can ask me on a different day of the week and I might give you the case for Aiden Black Aiden Black 6’3″ | 225 lbs | TE Delaware Valley | 2024 State PA to be back on top of our ranks. The complete package when it comes to all things tight end. Size, athleticism, brains. The Cardinal have done well out East, claiming multiple top 25 prospects in both PA, NJ as well as New England. We know how of the historic success tight ends have had developing through and under Stanford’s umbrella. I figure Aiden Black Aiden Black 6’3″ | 225 lbs | TE Delaware Valley | 2024 State PA will follow in some prestigious footsteps.
Jake Hohenshelt Jake Hohenshelt 6’4″ | 270 lbs | OL State College | 2024 State PA will be moved to offensive line on our site, probably by the time he or anyone reads this. His overall rank will remain, so he’s projected to land somewhere inside the top ten at that position as well. We liked Hohenshelt’s tape so much back in January, that he debuted inside our top 125. Now, State College’s TE/OL prospect climbs inside the top 50, mainly because of the validation Penn State put on his name. We flirted with the idea that Hohenshelt’s tape warranted FBS attention, I didn’t know if a program of PSU’s caliber would pull the trigger so soon, however. They see what we see. I have a feeling Hohenshelt has geared up for his primary role at tackle. I’ve seen the likes of Caleb Brewer Caleb Brewer 6’5″ | 285 lbs | OL Wyomissing | 2024 State PA and Kevin Heywood Kevin Heywood 6’7″ | 300 lbs | OL Pope John Paul II | 2024 State PA jump into the top ten, I realistically could see the same for Hohenshelt after his senior campaign is through. Will other Big 10 programs follow suit? Will the ACC step in, Syracuse and VA Tech could be options as a late addition.

Exeter to Coastal, the program continues to churn out excellent college prospects left and right. Zack Zandier Zack Zandier 6’5″ | 230 lbs | TE Exeter | 2024 State PA , often lining up in-line next to tackles, provides quality across both ends of the tight-end spectrum. Down blocking, reach blocking in run sets. Seam benders, capable of stretching the field. A true weapon in the red zone, there is so much to account for when game planning to limit Zandier’s production on Friday nights. Coastal will be happy with how far along Zandier is in the process of becoming a complete tight end. Toy and Hohenshelt, we value upside with those two. Aiden Black Aiden Black 6’3″ | 225 lbs | TE Delaware Valley | 2024 State PA , along with Zandier, exhibits a phenomenal floor coupled with career consistency.
A new addition to the tight-end rankings, debuting inside the top five at his position. That’s tough to do, especially this late into the process of identifying talent. This kid was a clear miss on my part, as I only recently heard of the Cedar Crest star after some stellar camp performances throughout the offseason. His top-five rank is a projection of future things to come, as we fully expect more FCS programs to pull the trigger sooner rather than later. Sacred Heart and Colgate have done so recently, extending offers to the 6’6 tight end. I imagine any programs recruiting in and around Cedar Crest will fall in love with Schomp after the first three games of his senior campaign. He’s stacked up against some premier talent in this group. We’ll see if his rank holds true in November.

Ennis Udo Ennis Udo 6’2″ | 205 lbs | TE Malvern Prep | 2024 State PA has had a relatively quiet offseason, strictly from my perspective. Even though things have been quiet around the Malvern Prep tight end, I can’t deny his “First Four” highlight tape and overall projection. Boston College reached out in the form of an offer back in October, I don’t doubt that FCS programs would be interested at the very least. So long as we see a full tape out of Udo, I have a good feeling about leaving him inside the top ten at his position.
Awesome to see us identify a talent worth providing exposure for. Even more worthwhile when said talent sees immediate love in the form of FCS offers after some exposure. I imagine a kid like Ryan Campbell Ryan Campbell 6’3″ | 230 lbs | TE Downingtown West | 2024 State PA wouldn’t need much more than a slight budge on Twitter, his tape does enough talking for itself. One of my favorite overall prospects in the state, Downingtown West’s Ryan Campbell Ryan Campbell 6’3″ | 230 lbs | TE Downingtown West | 2024 State PA recently announced his commitment to Richmond University. A perfect match for both parties involved, Campbell is going to be an immediate factor as a freshman Spider.
Highlights
Sean Brodnik Sean Brodnik 6’4″ | 230 lbs | TE The Haverford School | 2024 State PA is included with Division One talent, I’m sticking to my guns on this grade until collegiate suitors tell me otherwise. I’m not afraid to keep unoffered prospects graded amongst elite-level classmates, so long as his previous tape grades out the way it does. Brodnik’s tape is equal if not better than some of the talent listed above, yet he’s still waiting on his opportunity. At this point, I think we can all look forward to the young man’s first three games of the season, where I expect him to dominate on both sides of the ball.
Highlights
Jack Donnelly Jack Donnelly 6’2″ | 235 lbs | TE Central Bucks East | 2024 State PA jumps into the top ten, a spot he should have claimed for some time now. Back in late March of this year, Donnelly announced his decision to commit to the University of Pennsylvania. Donnelly will remain close to home, presumably a factor in his decision. Central Bucks East will likely deploy Donnelly all over the field, the senior has done so much in terms of alignment over the years, I can’t imagine not using the TE as an HBack or LB. UPenn is getting a real football player, one who succeeds in the classroom as well as in the weight room.

There are about six to seven other tight ends that could realistically have a claim at this ten spot. Strictly in terms of upside, I’m not sure any of them match Kyler Troup Kyler Troup 6’7″ | 220 lbs | TE Mifflinburg | 2024 State PA ‘s potential at the position. Picard and London both provide a higher floor than Troup, yet I can’t deny Troup’s impressive junior tape, a tape that earned him 1st-team All-Conference honors last Fall. I am also taking into account his 8.5 sacks on the other side of the ball, for what it’s worth. He, much like Dominic Toy Dominic Toy 6’5″ | 225 lbs | TE Chester | 2024 State PA , could have a case to be ranked among “ATH”s in the future.
