caught my attention at the Mother’s Day 7v7 showdown in Lincoln while he was playing for the Fire Dragons. I tried looking for tape on Parker but didn’t have much luck. However, if what I saw at that tournament is any indication of what’s to come, expect Parker to have a massive season this year. At 6’6″ and 215 pounds, Sutherland is an instant mismatch no matter who you line up on him. He uses his height and reach very well to give his QB an enormous catch radius to throw to. Parker also does a good job playing above the rim and elevating over defenders to make high-point catches. Sutherland also moves a lot more fluidly than most tight ends, showing enough wiggle to create separation and even make defenders miss on occasion. He drew attention from Power 5 teams, garnering camp invites from teams like Mizzou, Kansas, Auburn, Minnesota, and several others.

. Quinton will be playing for the Clippers after moving from and playing for Iowa City. Unfortunately for Quinton, he dealt with injuries last season and only played in two games. However, he still threw for 714 yards, 11 touchdowns, and completed 65.4% of his passes. When you watch his tape, you see a QB that can maneuver the pocket very well as he keeps his eyes downfield going through his progressions. Once he’s locked into his target, Quinton does very well at getting the ball out quickly to his receiver. Tran does a good job putting touch on his throws and has shown that he can fit the ball into tight windows. He has solid arm strength with the ability to pin the ball deep if he needs to and can throw quick dart throws with tons of zip on them. Quinton’s mobility and pocket awareness allows him to extend plays with his legs and buy time for his receivers. Quinton currently holds two offers from Carleton College and Grinnell College but should pick up more if he comes out firing at his new school.
Drake Canavan Drake Canavan 6'5" | 190 lbs | WR Eagle Grove | 2024 IA | 2024 | WR | Eagle Grove | 6’3″ 200 lbs
Also, a solid prospect on the hardwood, Eagle Grove’s Drake Canavan Drake Canavan 6'5" | 190 lbs | WR Eagle Grove | 2024 IA , is a player primed to make some noise on the recruiting circuit. Drake is an interesting prospect to watch on tape because of his versatile skillset. As a receiver, Canavan has a big body that he uses to be physical and battle for contested catches. His basketball background and ability to play above the rim are evident in his football tape, as he can climb the ladder and snag the ball at the high point. Drake also saw some time as an all-purpose back that could take the handoff or break out for a reception out of the backfield. He has good balance and is tough to bring down with weak arm tackles. Redzone monster- he can use his length to make receptions over defenders or as a battering ram on a handoff at the goal line. Drake also had some great defensive plays in his game film; just look at the first play where Canavan reads the screen, lulls the QB into the throw, intercepts the pass, and returns it for a touchdown.

Ian’s tape was fun to watch during this review. The Akron-Westfield prospect showed great levels of versatility as a running back who can also be a threat as a receiver. Ian is a tough downhill back that runs with a consistent pad level and is very balanced with his base. Blowe’s strong lower body keeps him running through contact, and he always seems to fall forward once he is brought down. One thing that really stood out to me is how explosive Ian is with his jump cuts, making defenders miss completely with one swift move. Blowe possesses top-tier vision that is always scanning the field for open lanes as well as quick reaction time to cut and adjust to what he sees. Ian also proved to be an asset in the passing game, especially if you can get him the ball in open space. His sure hands and ability to make defenders miss in the open field usually lead to a nice gain from him. Ian received his first offer from Morningside this month and will look to build momentum off that as the season inches closer.
