I've scout Newton in person during the last couple of seasons. This past fall, that occurred when City High played host to a talented Norwalk team. While he's not a guy that will stand out getting off of the bus, Newton makes plays between the lines. He led the Little Hawks in receptions in each of the last two seasons, totaling 96 grabs for 1,154 yards and nine touchdowns. Last fall, he hauled in 60 balls for 728 yards and six scores, all of the which led the team. Newton is adept at making defenders miss in space. Sharp cuts and burst lead to a lot of yards after the catch. We see that when watching his 11th-grade highlight video. The first clip shows him taking a short screen pass and turning it upfield for a 41-yard touchdown. He put his foot in a ground a time or two and hit the jets. Newton is a get-the-ball-in-his-hands-and-watch-him-go type player. He averaged 20.9 yards on 11 kick returns in 2025 and would be an asset for a college program in the return game.

Lloyd was named an Iowa Football Coaches Association Class A first-team all-state pick as a receiver in 2025. The junior hauled in 49 receptions for 785 yards and three touchdowns for a Woodbury Central team that reached the state quarterfinals. He added 90 yards (5.3 YPC) on the ground and contributed 23.5 tackles, 18 of which were solo stops. Lloyd was credited with a tackle for loss, averaged 20.4 on 14 punt returns and 17.6 yards on nine kick returns, converted two of four field goal attempts, and averaged 35.4 yards on eight punts. That's a lot of work. His 11th-grade highlight video reveals how he accomplishes contributing in so many areas of the game. Lloyd is fast off of the line and in getting into his routes. Sharp cuts and quickness help him sell routes and put defenders on skates. A handful to tackle in space, Lloyd makes people miss and runs away from them. His skills make him dangerous in the return game, where he's a threat to take it to the house every time.

MFL MarMac received contributions from Schutte on both sides of the ball last fall. The junior recorded 31.5 tackles with 14 solo stops. He collected 4.0 tackles for loss, a sack and an interception. On offense, he picked up 171 yards (4.3 YPC) and touchdown on the ground. When watching his 11th-grade highlight video, Schutte provides evidence as to what leads to success. He's a physical linebacker that can get downhill in a hurry, especially when the play is between the tackles. Schutte fights off and disengages from blocks regularly thanks to active hands and strength. He's more than a straight-ahead force, however. Schutte runs well sideline to sideline, allowing him to reach the ball carrier at the edge and stick with receivers in coverage. He would be a special teams' asset to programs on the next level, too.

With an offense with a lot of mouths to feed, Reinders found ways to eat when opportunities came his way. The junior caught 19 passes for 288 yards and five touchdowns as a long-limbed, agile receiver with a ton of upside. Reinders' projectable frame is capable of adding plenty of good weight in a college strength and conditioning program without the loss of agility, speed and athleticism. There's a chance he could grow into a tight end, a spot where his traits would play up even more. Reinders flashes potential during his 11th-grade highlight video. The first clip shows him running a straight go route down the sideline, beating the defensive back for a big gainer. Speed, arm length and athleticism all played a role in the reception. Reinders delivers on various routes throughout the rest of his film, offering a versatile skill set that should be getting him more attention along the recruiting trail.

After sprinting to success as a Knoxville receiver in 2025, Conner will play this coming fall at PCM. The junior hauled in 28 balls for 454 yards and three touchdowns with a two-point conversion last fall. He contributed 14.5 tackles, 12 of which were solo stops. He averaged 18.8 yards on 20 kick returns. Conner impresses during his 11th-grade highlight video with the Panthers. On the first clip, he runs a hitch route. It looked like he would be dropped where he hauled in the ball, but he makes a guy miss with quickness and then breaks a tackle, which showed strength. The rest of the film reveals a broad base of skills that allow for versatility as a receiver, an attractive trait for colleges. His abilities also work in the secondary and would make him a special teams' contributor on the next level as well.
