One thing that sets West apart from a lot of other DB's is that he's going to come down hill and help out with the dirty work, may even force some turnovers in the run game. We watched Dajuan start at QB his sophomore year for Riverdale Baptist, then tear up the 7-on-7 circuit that off-season. He then went on to transfer to his local school Calvert and played in every aspect of the game, offense, defense, and special teams. Defensively he's a sure tackling safety and plays the deep ball well at cornerback; he came up with a couple deflections and interceptions this past season. At the next level he will be an edge rusher or outside linebacker but he was dominant all over the defensive line in 2022. He's so fast off of the ball blockers standing right in front of him don't even get a hand on him. He's not just a speed freak, he'll punch a blocker in the chest and fight through blocks and still have time to cause havoc in the backfield. If he can't get to the QB for a sack, he may cause a turnover swatting at the ball or jumping into the passing lane. Rivers is looking really good, landing a few ivy league and FCS offers this off-season.
