Roy is an impressive prospect who currently holds 18 total offers from Ivy league, FBS, and FCS schools. He is dominant at his edge rusher position beating blockers with his speed and hands. Roy is really good in pursuit, he has the ability to chase down a play and make the tackle on the other side of the field. I won’t be surprised at all if he starts to attract some bigger programs.

Roy has size, speed, strength and one heck of a motor. He continuously chases downplays from the backside and makes tackles sideline to sideline. When he doesn’t get to the QB for a sack he makes it very hard on QB’s by jumping into passing lanes to swat the ball, he even caused a few turnovers from his pressure. He’s quick off the edge and shows his athleticism when making basketball like moves on opposing linemen, leaving them grasping for air. Roy is one of the best linebackers in the league. Currently holds 2 offers from Toledo and Akron.

Roy has a lot of skills and qualities you look for in a really good LB prospect, he has size at 6’3 220lbs, he’s athletic and fast, he even plays offense. Chasing QB’s down outside the pocket and taking down ball carries from backside chase is no problem for Roy. He shows awareness in his play, causing fumbles and taking good angles to put him in the best position to catch faster players. So far Roy has 2 offers from Akron and Toldeo, after his junior year film is finished expect him to pile on a few more as he increases his recruiting stock even more.
