Tanner showed off plenty of athleticism from his Indy and 1v1 reps at the St. Thomas Camp last Friday night. He showed off a route-runner that shows off a high level with his efficiency of his football IQ with the angling and precison he shows off within his routes, as Tanner made some highly quick adjustments with superb instincts when utilizing his vertical in the air. He might be 5’11 180 pounds, but the reach he showed going for the ball in 1v1s showed off a much longer reach high and wide with what you will see in that 5’11 size you see. He also has swift agility and can turn on a dime which got a handful of separation at the Tommies prospect camp. He also fielded the high-traffic catches extremely well. I love how much route creativity he puts on tape, as he has a strong mix of intermediate that show off the agility and a fluidly long burst that can stretch the field. With four offers on the table from the FCS and D2 levels, Tanner is picking up steam this summer with his recruiting and he’s not done yet in my eyes.

Tremaine was a small town prospect from Wisconsin, but certainly played with a chip on his shoulder at the Tommies camp last Friday night. It started by watching him in 1v1s as Tremaine showed off a quick twitch not just with his feet off the snap, but with his hands challenging the heck out of the defensive back from the first point of attack out of his route. I also thought Tremaine showed off a smooth downhill release with his first step at WR. This kid didn’t just just strike a chord for me at WR either, as Tremaine was one of those prospects that without hesitation, got into the defensive back group in 1v1s and ruffled some feathers with his aggressive physicality startling some WRs in the group off the top of their route. Tremaine on tape plays in the slot, but geuninely after watching him in St. Paul, he could have a college football future as a feisty cornerback even though you won’t see much of it on tape yet. College coaches are certainly going to be attracted to that 6’1 180 body for that position. I also firmly believe this kid’s agility on tape doesn’t do the justice for how twitchy he is in a live evaluation setting. Just one offer so far, but he certainly is about to gather more attention this summer as his instincts are becoming much more wiry since his 2022 tape came out.
For being 6’3 225 pounds, I was glued to watching Jack’s instinctive first step out of his later reps at the Tommies prospect camp last Friday night. Jack’s route-running ability is built more like a hybrid WR/TE from these eyes as he showed quick hand-eye coordination to bring the ball to his chest in St. Paul. Jack showed off from wherever I watched him on Friday night, a well-built work ethic that plays with plenty of longevity in his frame. He also off a high ceiling of upside with his blocking technique as he certainly has some developmental gains that are still untapped. Jack shows off on tape a prospect that has a loaded football IQ, as his tape is as diverse as you want as a college recruiter at the tight end position. Jack holds two offers so far, and is certainly one if I was a college recruiter I would offer right away.

Oliver was not the biggest defensive back at the Tommies prospect camp last Friday, but man did this young man play his tail off with plenty of intriguing skillsets. This young man had one of the most noticeable twitches with his change of direction I saw amongst the defensive back and that certainly stuck out when the Tommies ran Oliver thru the County Fair drills, which Oliver showed high levels of endurance and always finished each drill with plenty of range within his lower body. Oliver was also extremely physical in coverage as a scrappy 5’9 160 pound defensive back that played with a fearless demeanor no matter what size the size was of the WR prospect he was defending. His best skillset I watched in coverage was how balanced yet feisty he was from the top of the route, as this young man did a great job with his read instincts to startle the WR out of position super early in their rep. This kid is a defined swiss-army knife that will be an asset on special teams as well on Saturdays, as Oliver’s recruiting is still in my eyes under the radar.

Logan was a defensive end that showed off a plethora of instinct towards the end of the Tommies prospect camp on Saturday. What stood out to me about Logan in the late camp session? This kid answered the call in 1v1s with how efficient his footwork was and how much strength he showed off with his hands with his finishing ability. I also liked watching the versatility he has with his hand position and hand speed adjustment at the Tommies camp, as he showed off as a DE prospect that is has some tenacious athletic movement with his quick feet and quick shedding ability. I like on tape the toughness of the reps that Logan shows off, especially with his use of a swim move out of double coverage that shows off how solid this kid’s vision is. No offers yet for this 6’2 235 pounder out of Orono that certainly looks like a Saturdays prospect to my eyes with his elusive skillsets from top to bottom.

The only 2025 prospect that cracked our list in Part III standouts from St. Thomas is one with really solid upside grooming for the linebacker position as we meet Kimberly (WI) 2025 Braedon Ellefson Braedon Ellefson 6’3″ | 215 lbs | LB Kimberly | 2025 WI . Braedon showed off some noticeable length in his strides from the County Fair session that caught my eyes. Although I am going just off my eye test and a handful of reps I saw in person, this 6’2 195 pound linebacker had plenty of longevity in his finish in the reps I caught and you can tell has a high ceiling with instincts you will want for the linebacker position. There is no tape on Braedon from his sophomore season yet, but I hope to track this young man into fall to see if that finish and promising upside with his instincts show off another physical linebacker for the Papermakers.
