With over 300+ campers in attendance, there was a lot of prospects to watch but in Part IV we put an advanced focus on prospects from the Mount Rushmore and Roughrider States amongst a couple others. Let’s dive into who made waves at the Jackrabbits last prospect camp of the summer.
Boden has turned up his athleticism a few notches since my last evaluation of him, as I liked watching what I saw out of Boden during County Fair during the Jackrabbits prospect camp. He was super efficent with his footwork thru the bag drill, and showed off great bases of agility thru the bags. Another skillset that intrigued me about Boden was his superb balance during that drill as he was proficient with his athletic mobility. With his tape, I like the instincts Boden plays with his hands as he has quick shedding ability with fluid technique from the tape I watched. This kid plays with plenty of length with his steps too, as Boden has great range at linebacker to play the field with depth and a high probability of running down a ball carrier downfield with his stamina. This 6’1 190 linebacker should certainly get his name called soon to play the next-level in my eyes as good fit at the D2 or NAIA level.

Nick certainly intrigued me with his length at the last South Dakota State prospect camp last Thursday. At 6’5 240, I have a feeling whichever college strength coach gets Nick in the end, they are going to love adding frame to this kid. He showed off a fiery first step off the snap at SDSU and attacks really well with his balance and angle blocking, as he got some solid bases of leverage from what I got to watch. His tape also points at a OG prospect that has that finish I like all offensive linemen to have on the turf. Nick picked up his first D1 offer from the Jackrabbits after camp last Thursday and is going to be a popular prospect amongst the Missouri Valley Conference in my eyes in the upper Midwest with the long-term potential this young man has at the next-level.
This was my first time watching Grand Forks Red River’s JB Walters JB Walters 6’4″ | 260 lbs | OL Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND in person, and I left with an even better impression of one of the top 2025 offensive line prospects North Dakota has to offer. My evaluation of JB started with how athletic and fluid he looked with his bend at the line for his 6’4 size. I also love this young man’s character as he seems like a well-rounded prospect not just on the field but off the field. JB brings plenty of versatile skillsets on tape, as one that has efficent foot speed off the snap with his pull-blocking skilsets to working his vision around the interior of the offensive line especially in pass protection as he has superb awareness. JB also has a well-rounded punch with great balance as on tape as you will always see him reading the field for the best opportunity to punch a defender in the mouth while making sure he opens a hole for his running back which speaks highly to his football IQ. No doubt in my eyes JB looks like a Division I IOL in the coming years with his versatility.

Brandon showed off plenty of well-balanced physical skillsets from watching him at the South Dakota State prospect camp. This young man has grown substantially over the last year or so, however still has maintained an athletic bend and has an excellent work-ethic every rep you get to watch. I also liked watching the aggressive fighting hands Brandon showed off last Thursday in Brookings, as rep after rep he showed plenty of consistent with that skillset alone while also showed off great pad-level with his punch. Brandon tape shows off excellent downhill leverage from several different angles with his drive blocking. At 6’5 280 pounds, Brandon even shows off the upside to me to grow even further with his bend I saw at SDSU and a high ceiling in pass protection. Brandon has one NSIC offer right now, and certainly should see his recruiting blow up in the coming months as Brandon is an OL prospect I would offer right now.

Cody was a first look DB prospect for me that was certainly impressive from what we watched from his early drills. This young man had dominant agility and also with that agility had some excellent football instincts with his football IQ from my eyes as he was one of the best WRs in the group from those early drills I watched in the County Fair session. On tape, Cody shows plenty of consistency with what I saw at the SDSU prospect camp. He shows off a quick twitch with his change of direction and can just fly fluidly to the football with his range which for some defensive backs isn’t as easy. He also does a solid job with his contact levels of physicality, as Cody is a knock-back tackler for sure. Not to mention, that this young man sends off some danger on special teams as well as a strong return man as well. At 6’0 165 pounds, Cody is another prospect I would add to this growing list of standouts to offer right now as I like the potential this young man will have at the next level.
The top ranked 2025 prospects in the Dakotas crushed it on one of our list of standouts with the other one being Sioux Falls O’Gorman 2025 Dawson Bauer Dawson Bauer 5’10” | 170 lbs | WR Sioux Falls O’Gorman | 2025 State SD . As I have watched him a bunch over the summer, Dawson keeps getting smoother with his agile change of direction which he showed off swiftly in the figure eight drills I watched during the County Fair session at the South Dakota State prospect camp. Some of the reps I watched out of Dawson in 1v1s certified why he one of South Dakota’s top WR prospects as he showed off that fluid release and a HUGE catch radius for a WR prospect of his size at 5’11 which plays much bigger on the field than his measureables speak for. Dawson is another weapon this list that is excellent as a return man as the vision this young man has wherever he in the football field is going to show off a bright football future and he is still just scratching the surface with his game as a future scholarship-level WR prospect.
