He has a well put together physique and has the room to easily add good weight. Blake plays offensive tackle for the Tigers, but I like him as a Center who could play Guard at the college level. Blake does a lot of things really well. The reason I like him so much at center is because of his combo of strength and athleticism. As a center he’ll be able to do it all. He has a strong anchor with quick, heavy hands. He also has the lower and upper body strength to violently finish guys. Blake has a nimble pass set and mirrors well. In the run game he has the quickness and athleticism to execute pull blocks. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Blake, because I think he has the opportunity to be a good D1 G5 collegiate offensive lineman.
2024 TE Ryan Cooley Ryan Cooley 6'4" | 190 lbs | TE Hughes | 2024 State OH (Hughes) 6’4 190- Ryan is a player who I liked a lot based off the limited film that I’d gotten to see. Until the Cincinnati football camp, I’d never gotten to see him live. I thought Ryan had a nice day. I really liked what I had to see. At 6’4 190 he’s really long and has the frame to continue to grow and develop physically. As a receiver he has the ability to catch the ball away from his frame. For all of his length he still has the burst, and good bend. That being said you can tell he’s been able to win just on size and athleticism and there hasn’t been a lot of development when it comes to technique and route running. With a heavy focus on the development of his route running technique, he’ll become more fluid and explosive in his breaks. Being able to add the route running to his athleticism could make him a dangerous offensive threat. As he adds muscle and strength to his athletic build, Cooley will be an adequate if not strong blocker in the run game both on the perimeter and inline. He has quick hands and a heavy punch and is a willing blocker. If a G5 program is willing to give Ryan a year for development focusing on his nutrition, strength, and technique, I think Ryan has the ability to be a very good D1 G5 tight end.
2024 WR Jack Wojciak Jack Wojciak 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Medina | 2024 State OH (Medina) 6’1 185- Jack comes from the highly potent spread offense of Medina high school. He garnered all-state honors as a junior. At the Cincinnati camp Wojciak had an impressive day. Watching him work in 1v1’s, I think Jack will be able to lineup inside or outside at the college level. That being said I think his best use at the college level is in the slot. He’s a smooth, and precise route runner. He accelerates quickly and knows how to set up defenders before making sharp breaks. When the ball is in the air, he catches pretty much everything. If you go back to his film, you’ll see him high point balls and also make some acrobatic catches. It’s not just the hands and the route running Jack has track speed to go with it. This spring Jack was a member of Medina’s D1 state qualifying 4×100 meter relay team. There are lots of traits to like here. The Bees have QB Danny Stoddard Danny Stoddard 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Medina | 2024 State OH coming back who put up video game numbers as a junior and will be able to get the ball to Wojciak and get it to him in positions to make plays. I just can’t see how he isn’t poised to have a huge senior season and put himself in position to have strong options to be a scholarship player at the college level.
2025 TE Cross Nimmo Cross Nimmo 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE Lake Catholic | 2025 State OH (Lake Catholic) 6’6 215- Nimmo was a player who I was excited to see at the Cincinnati football camp. Playing at a D4 school can sometimes cause talented players to fly under the radar. That’s clearly been the case with Nimmo. All of that might of been the case, at least until this offseason. was until, this offseason. In May he picked up his first 3 D1 offers from Bowling Green, Toledo, and the Minnesota Gold Gophers. Since then he’s camped at the likes of Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and other big Power 5 names. Cross has a good combination of size and athleticism. He’s easily 6’5 if not 6’6 and at 215 pounds he has an athletic build with the frame to continue to add. He’s a tight end who will be able to line up on the outside or inline. In the run game I expect him to be a really good blocker whether that be lining up inside or out. In the pass game Cross understands the spots he needs to get too as a route runner and is fluid through the catch. Along with being a good route runner, he’s strong and will be able to catch through contact. In a day in age where it seems like high school tight ends are either receivers OR blockers, Nimoo does both really well. Cross will be a versatile tight end that can add value on all 3 downs. He certainly seems on the trajectory to land himself at a P5 school. After a busy summer Cross said he was ready to slow down a little and focus on basketball and making some college visits.
2024 DB Abdourahmane Diop Abdourahmane Diop 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Fairfield | 2024 OH (Winton Woods) 5’11 175- Abdourahmane, who also goes by Abdul, was a player that I honestly didn’t know about. That was until he dm’d before the UC Bearcats football camp, at his head coach Chad Murphy’s suggestion. As a background, it’s no secret that the Winton Woods football program has possessed a tremendous amount of talent on its defense over the first 3 years of his high school career. While he did get playing time both on defense and specially teams, Diop has simply had to wait his turn. Watching him perform at the camp, Diop possesses loose hips and fluid change of direction. He has a nice burst that he uses to break on the ball. He’s very comfortable in space. Abdul does a good job of gaining depth, taking good angles, and plays the ball when it’s in the air. While comfortable in space, Abdul can also line up on the line scrimmage and defend in man coverage. At the college level, I like Abdul as a nickel corner or a free safety. Though he’s had to wait his turned he’s continued to work hard and put him in position to be a contributor in his senior season. I’m excited to see what he can put on film this fall and see what the future holds for this young man!
