On Monday, I had the pleasure of being in attendance for Doane's 7v7 Air Attack Camp. This camp featured seven Nebraska teams including Norris, Grand Island, Fillmore Central, Crete, Tri-County, Seward, and Fairbury. I was able to see teams and players I had not been able to watch in person and really opened my eyes to some new names to keep an eye on.

As part of my coverage, I wanted to do a quick takeaways article with some general notes and takeaways I had throughout the duration of the camp. I will cover standout players of the final four teams in other articles throughout the week.

- Offers: Norris' [player_tooltip player_id='408454' first='Jax' last='Gates'] and Fillmore Central's [player_tooltip player_id='703721' first='Kade' last='Cooper'] both had great individual days, resulting in both receiving offers today.

- Grand Island's Bode Albers was very impressive yesterday. He will be taking over the QB1 role this season and looked poised while leading the offense at the camp.

- GISH just seems to reload with instinctive two-way players that find ways to make plays. Players like Hunter Handquist, [player_tooltip player_id='402160' first='Nelsyn' last='Wheeler'], [player_tooltip player_id='250293' first='Caleb' last='Richardson'], Isaiah Wyatt, and several others made great plays throughout the day.

- Norris' biggest strengths this season is going to be their speed, athleticism, and the fact that they enter the season more experienced than last. QB [player_tooltip player_id='789525' first='Jarrett' last='Behrends'] looked sharp in command of the offense, and all the players did a great job being vocal and displaying leadership from the seniors.

- I got my first look at Crete and thought they did very well both moving the offense downfield and forcing stops on defense. They played physically on both ends of the ball, going up on contested catches and using their hands on defense to slap the ball away.

- Seward's [player_tooltip player_id='982669' first='Cole' last='Luebbe'] was an impressive two-way player for the Jays. Cole was a favorite target on crucial downs and found ways to create separation over the middle of the field.

- Seward's 2024 Reggie Sukup and 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='402140' first='Brenden' last='Ruth'] could develop into one of the better safety duos in Class B. Both players looked very rangy in coverage, and each had their own big plays breaking up passes and coming down with interceptions.

- Fillmore Central is going to be a team to watch in Class C2. They have great senior leadership with players like [player_tooltip player_id='703721' first='Kade' last='Cooper'] & [player_tooltip player_id='982419' first='Treven' last='Stassines'] and also young, hungry dawgs like Jarin Tweedy and incoming freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1085642' first='Preston' last='Komenda']. They went 7-3 last season and could be a team playing some November games.

- Tri-County was one of the smaller schools in attendance but still put together a tremendous effort yesterday. QB John Wehrman did a great job moving the offense downfield and spreading the ball evenly to all his receivers.

- Fairbury featured a very young team at the camp, and although they did have a rough go at first, they really broke out in their last game of the day. I didn't get the game's final score, but they gave Class A Grand Island a solid battle.

- Fairbury may see some growing pains this season, but with the fight I saw out of them, I won't be surprised if they are a power by the time they get to be upperclassmen.
