Out of the two parts I did, this list is my favorite list when it comes to next-level talent as the talent pool for prospects that will be playing on Saturdays is really high.
Tyson impressed me in the early going of the Crown Elite Camp with the strong athletic movement that he showed in his 5’11 220 pound frame. Not only was he fluid with his feet in the reps I watched, he also had plenty of powerful speed with his hands and in 1v1s reps showed off great technique with working those hands to his advantage to win rep after rep. In early testing, Tyson also showed great amounts of explosion for his size when watching him in the broad jump as he jumped an 8’8 to further explain later in the day why he had such a great first step off the snap. I love watching Tyson’s soft hands on tape and his physicality when he makes contact shows great amounts of driving the defender to the turf. Tyson picked up his first offer from the Polars last Saturday, and I would for sure expect his recruiting to pick up more the deeper we get into summer.

Carson is one of our South Dakota prospects that made the trip to the Crown Elite Camp, and showed off similarities to what I have seen on tape over his last few years at Faulkton. If you want a prospect with position flexibility on either side of the line with a blue-collar work ethic and great character, Carson is a good small school fit as the physicality this young man plays with on tape go way above the measurables he shows off as this young man regardless if it was in testing or 1v1s showed that finish I love seeing out of prospects in a camp setting. He has upside to grow into when I watched his OL reps in pass protection as he comes from a run-heavy offensive at Fauklton, but based on how hard this kid works I feel he is a quick learner that can pick up new skillsets quick. He shows off durable hands that are meant to power thru contact and has good vision with his ability to attack the ball in stride. I like his pad-level and drive blocking ability on tape however I think Carson’s best fit for me if I was a college recruiter fits in well at defensive tackle in my eyes. Carson also is a OL/DL prospect that has high characterrn..]..
Ky is a Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase alum that although is not the biggest quarterback on the field plays with good attention to detail that college coaches want to see out of camp reps. I didn’t get Ky’s 40 yard dash numbers from Saturday, but from the reps I watched for his size Ky ran with a great base of fluidity and finish from the rep I caught in testing. Ky is super persistent on throwing from the run with pressure in his face however has great poise with a quick release. He also shows off good precision within his ball placement and is a consistent ball-thrower on intermediate routes. Ky is certainly a prospect with potential, as when you watch him on tape he deals with pressure in the backfield and still always finds a way to advance the ball quickly for positive yardage. Although he might not fit the mold size-wise for the QB position, I would put Ky in the category that you go outside the measurables threeshold for especially at the Division III level as Ky also has a outstanding 3.98 GPA which shows that he has a quick learning curve to develop.

One of the most intriguing tight ends at the Crown Elite Camp was Crosby-Ironton’s Luke Johnson Luke Johnson 6’4″ | 205 lbs | TE Crosby-Ironton | 2024 MN . At 6’5, Luke started off his camp at Crown with a very impressive 9’1 broad jump which showed off to me there is high levels of explosion with this young man to groom. Luke showed off a good-sized catch radius in 1v1s that I watched and that radius certainly matches what he puts on tape which is a good sign. College coaches will have plenty of room to build a bigger frame on Luke in the weight room as he has probably 20-30 pounds you can add to this young man. Luke also shows efficiency as a blocker that will block until that whistle is blown on tape and hits well with a good pad-level to add to his resume. Out this list of Standouts Part II, I believe Luke has the highest ceiling as far as his potential goes and will need a promising senior season tape to accelerate his next-level skillsets as his junior tape shows some promise however shows off plenty of growth yet to be seen out this young man.
Cedric Buchholtz
Cedric Buchholtz
My selection for defensive back MVP was Maple Grove’s Cedric Buchholtz as this young man put on a show especially when I got to watch him in 1v1s. He showed off great athletic movement with his crossover running ability and that was certainly not all Cedric showed off last Saturday. He showed off plenty of physicality with his ball-tracking ability as Cedric was by far playing with the most instincts amongst the DB group last Saturday and stuck to the WRs like glue for the duration of the reps I caught. I also moved his cutback agility to get back to the ball with excellent athleticism and feel with his vision. Cedric is certainly a prospect I would right now if I am a college football program as this young man showed off a lot of electric skillsets that should continue to impress college coaches this summer.
In my eyes last Saturday, Kevon was one of the most productive running backs at the Crown College Elite Camp. I loved watching this young man’s twitch he showed off with his change of direction as he also showed great efficiency as a pass-catcher out of the backfield from the reps I watched out of Kevon. He also showed off some great burst from the reps I caught at Crown, as when you get the chance to flip on Kevon’s tape, he shows off excellent longevity with that burst I mentioned in his sophomore tape. The best development I believe Kevon can work on as he heads into his junior year would be his vision which will help him get yards after contact as there is no doubt how speedy this young man is but I would love to see more development building a stronger lower body to get those hard-earned YAC yards. Kevon certainly shows off a 2025 running back prospect out of Robbinsdale Armstrong that I will be tracking this fall.

With the multiple reps I got to watch Carter in, he enlightened me most with his skillsets that showed off an athletic first step in the handful of reps I caught. I also liked watching his agility take shape last Saturday at the Crown College Elite Camp, as I see that there is a higher ceiling of potential with the twitchy footwork he showed off in reps. I also really liked Carter’s ability of getting separation as a pass-catcher from 1v1s at the Crown College Elite Camp, as on a handful of occasions Carter used his solid change of direction to gauge a heck of a lot of distance between him and the defender using his athletic instincts from that first step I mentioned from camp. He also showed great open field vision with his swift rotations after catching the ball in stride in my eyes. He certainly with more tape from his senior season should get on more college radars in the upcoming few months in my eyes.
Brady was another prospect that intrigued me with his quick get off instincts on Saturday at Crown. From what I had recorded, Brady ran a 4.72 40 yard dash at 6’3 200 pounds which is shows off well in my SES (size, explosion, speed) algorithm for testing. His tape shows off excellent length when he enters the backfield, as a DE fit that can utilize his stretch to take down ball carriers that would be slightly out of reach for smaller defensive ends. Brady fits the mold as a hybrid DE/LB that I believe his best fit in my eyes for the next-level comes off the EDGE. Brady certainly showed off all together that he will be a Saturdays prospect that needs more tape to develop his craft into his senior season.
Quick Notes on a Few More Standouts from Crown:
Brody Kok, ATH, Princeton 2025
- Brody showed off a good base of athleticism from what I watched at Crown last Saturday. He showed off as far as his measurables an ideal frame for the quarterback and also had good awareness with the ball in his hands as a projected future swiss-army knife for the Princeton Tigers in my eyes.
Mitch McKinnon, OL, Ashwaubenon (WI) 2024
- Mitch was OL prospect that I liked his lower body flexibility from the early reps from camp. He also showed good bounce with his footwork with his first step in the early reps. His tape from his junior season with the Jaguars shows off a poised center prospect that has a physical punch and a strong rotation first step that can drive block into the second level. Certainly looks like a Saturdays prospect in my eyes with good size at 6’0 250 pounds.
Aiden Fisher, OL, Minneapolis Southwest 2024
- Aiden showed off some noticable flexibility from watching him in the early reps from the Crown College Elite Camp. No tape yet from this Lakers prospect, but might be one to watch for in his senior season at Minneapolis Southwest.
