Arguably the top player of the day. In a rainy atmosphere, it didn’t bother West in the slightest. He threw a ton of terrific passes and was the most accurate QB out of the group. What impressed me about West was his velocity on his throws. He has a cannon and he immediately stood out from the rest of the quarterbacks with how quick his passes got to his receivers. He was very polished throughout the showcase and has showed incredible improvement from his junior year.
Highlights
The linebacker from Floyd was one of the most poised defensive players at the event. He sat on routes and he easily had some of the best football IQ during the day. He shut down some very quick running backs as he matched their footwork which was very impressive and he made good plays on the ball. Delaney has good size and athleticism, expect him to be one of the top linebackers in Suffolk County next year
One of the best all around players on the island displayed all of his abilities on saturday. Schaffer caught everyone’s attention by making an argument as the top kicker on the day. He had incredible range and was easily one of the strongest kickers. He then continued to dominate at wide receiver as he made the 1v1’s look easy. Schaffer had an amazing rep when he had to come back to the ball and adjust his body to make an incredibly tough contested catch. He was elite at both receiver and DB/LB. He can play anywhere and he is one of the most fun players to watch on the island.
One of the most dominant defensive players at the event. He had good size at 6’4 and 240 pounds, and what separated him was explosiveness. He got off the line so fast and his first step gave offensive lineman some trouble. Overall his size and athleticism created a scary combination, Appolon has a ton of potential
One of the best freshmen on Long Island last year, and he had a day at the Suffolk County showcase. He is a guy who brings the juice every time he is out there. He blew by defenders and he was easily one of the best players on the 2025/2026 side of the field. His quickness and change of direction gave defenders a hard time and he dominated almost all of his reps. He also had great coverage when he played defense, it’s no surprise that he’s one of the top 2026 players in the state.
Highlights
The strong receiver was dominant during 1v1’s. He continued to assert his dominance this spring with another terrific outing. He was one of the best athletes as he easily beat some defensive backs and created a ton of separation. He had one of the best reps of the day when breaking his defender’s ankles when cutting to the middle of the field. Although he will probably play just receiver at St Anthony’s, he was solid in coverage and he showed off that 355 pound bench when pressing receivers.
The receiver/kicker put on a show during the Suffolk County showcase. He was easily one of the smoothest route runners on the day. His footwork put defenders in a blender and he made some highlight reel plays. Futter was also one of the most reliable receivers, in a wet day he was catching almost everything. He also showed that he was one of the best kickers on the day. He has the opportunity to play either spot at the next level
At 6’3 and 245 pounds it was exciting to see that Ali was arguably the quickest lineman at the event. He had an incredible first step and blew past the players he went against. He also showed off an incredible spin move, as he was one of the top players from a technical standpoint. He was very explosive off the ball which guided his success all day.

Jeremiah Barfield
Jeremiah Barfield
Another lineman that stood out with his athleticism. He was one of the quicker prospects at the event and he made play after play whenever he got the opportunity. He is going to be a breakout candidate for a Hills East team that had several players dominate at this event.
