Ali is a top 5 EDGE prospect for me and he is a guy I’ve seen at camps before but never truly live. He has been on varsity since his Freshman year and I have gone back and forth on this eval over the course of three season – went back watched all the tape, camp clips, really took into account his development over HS career and where he can go and I really like his outlook as an EDGE prospect. His competition level won’t wow you but he does a lot of simple things well consistently. Consistent use of hands, consistent shed, consistent finish. Continuing to develop athletically will keep him on a strong developmental path, but I thought his senior tape show a lot of consistency and execution.

It was another dominant season for the junior lineman, as he established himself in the conversation with the other top defensive lineman in New York. Ali registered over 90 tackles, 14 TFL’s and 7 sacks. He was quick and powerful which allowed him to be very successful against good opposition in league play.

Ali was hyped up to be one of the best lineman in Suffolk County and he certainly has made plays like one of the islands best players. In a war against a very talented Sachem North team last week, Ali was dominant against a great offensive line. He registered 10 tackles and a sack, as they held Sachem North to just 7 points in the big win. Ali’s quickness continues to be a huge issue for offensive lineman. He uses his hands well and has been blown by lineman. But it’s not just getting to the quarterback, Ali has come up big as a run stopper. The added strength and weight from the offseason is very evident and when Ali makes tackles, he hits with a serious purpose. He’s one of the top overall prospects in Suffolk County and will be an important piece for Whitman’s success

One of the best finesse lineman you’ll see in New York. Ali has made an impact on varsity since his freshman year and I think the junior captain will show why he’s one of the state’s best this upcoming season. He has a great first step and several effective moves. Ali is also not afraid to get physical and did a great job fighting off multiple lineman to make tackles last year. Look out for him to lead a revamped Walt Whitman defense.

At 6’3 and 245 pounds it was exciting to see that Ali was arguably the quickest lineman at the event. He had an incredible first step and blew past the players he went against. He also showed off an incredible spin move, as he was one of the top players from a technical standpoint. He was very explosive off the ball which guided his success all day.

out of Walt Whitman is one of the strongest prospects in the entire state, at 6’3 245lbs Ali has the ideal build for the next level and his burst off the ball and very developed pass rush moves make him one of the most dangerous threats in the class of 2025. Ali has a ton of power and a really strong base so he can push guys into the backfield consistently. One of the best combinations of power and measurables in this class.
