Donovan Gibbs | Prep Redzone Scout
Suffolk County’s leading receiver had another massive game against William Floyd, hauling in 12 catches for 116 yards.
Thompson is a great receiver after the catch and can still beat you deep in 1-on-1 matchups. His route running is elite for Section XI; he always gets separation, even against bigger corners who appear to have the advantage.
The junior will definitely light up the stat sheet and the scoreboard against the Musketeers defense. Watch out for his arm, too; Whitman is loving what Thompson can do as a gadget player, and he threw his fourth touchdown pass of the season last week.
