The Redzone Elite national 7v7 tournament is a massive event where athletes traveled from all over the country to showcase their talents while fighting for the championship title. With the number of matches that took place over the weekend, seeing every player from each team was no easy task.

This article will briefly examine seven quarterbacks from the three Colorado teams who stood out during Sunday's installment of the Redzone Elite 7v7 tournament.

Ducks7v7 teammates [player_tooltip player_id='147556' first='Rowan' last='Risner'] (2024) and Wyatt Nichols (2024 Conifer) split each series en route to a deep run in the playoffs, finishing the event as the only 18U team from Colorado to advance to the later half of Sunday. Risner made more than a few impressive throws during the event, showing he has what it takes to hit his receivers on every level. Nichols snagged attention with his ball placement on deep throws and snappy releases.

Team Full Gorilla teammates [player_tooltip player_id='477847' first='Tevin' last='Stokes'] (2026) and [player_tooltip player_id='791359' first='Nick' last='Accardi III'] (2026) took turns leading their 14U squad into the later half of the playoffs, the only Colorado 14U team to do so and one of two Colorado teams to make a deep run. The two were one of the more dynamic QB duos at the event, each making similar throws to drive their team down the field. Accardi III can rifle passes through tight windows and hit his target on the numbers. Stokes has the arm strength to hit each throw on every level and seems to get better with his timing and accuracy with each rep.

Paul Mitchell (2024) is the quarterback for Widefield, who led 719 Springs Elite's 18U team during the two-day event. Mitchell was the frontman for a potent offensive unit that made it to the second round on Sunday. He has a quick release and good arm strength that allows him to fit the ball into small windows. The trust that he has built with his receivers gives him the confidence to throw the ball up and give his guys a chance to make a play. Mitchell will be an interesting quarterback to keep on the radar this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='232155' first='Alex' last='Birch'] (2025) and [player_tooltip player_id='806112' first='Kurt' last='Rossner'] (2024) shared the helm of the Ducks7v7 Yellow team that entered Sunday with a first-round bye before getting matched up against a tough San Diego team who would go on to eliminate both remaining Ducks7v7 teams from the tournament. During the match, Birch and Rossner were putting on impressive performances by showing off their arm strength and accurate ball placements. Birch is a polished passer with great mechanics, while Rossner is a smooth thrower with outstanding reflexes.
