There were players putting up lightning quick times in the 40 yard dash. Just when my jaw dropped at a time that a player finished with, another player would come along and top that one. Out of all of the prospects that stood out, I am going to talk about the quickest 40 yard dash times by position. Lets find out who made the list.
Taven Brown Taven Brown 6’1″ | 200 lbs | RB Mustang | 2027 State OK has good height for a running back and recorded the quickest times out of everyone. His first attempt was the quickest out of everyone, with him recording 4.59. His second attempt was almost as impressive, with him finishing with a time of 4.62. He showed off his speed, athleticism, and an array of skill with him finishing as the Running Back Most Valuable Player.
Highlights
Bryson Brown showed up and showed out this event. He recorded one of the quickest times out of all defensive players. He showed out in some of the other events, as well. With his speed and athleticism, it helps him come up with big plays on the football field. His first time in the 4o yard dash was 4.88. That is an impressive time, with his second attempt not being too far behind, being 4.91.

Payton Lang Payton Lang 5’8″ | 165 lbs | QB Muskogee | 2027 OK showed off impressive speed for a quarterback. He had a quick first step and was able to accelerate quickly. This helped him finish with times of 4.75 and 4.72. He also showed the ability to pass the ball. His speed makes him an intriguing player to watch moving forward.
Highlights
Jackson Denton Jackson Denton 5’10” | 160 lbs | QB Warren | 2027 State AR showed up and delivered a good performance. Through one drill after another, he showed off his speed. Hit times helped him rank second in the 40 yard dash out of all quarterbacks. His first attempt, he had 4.87. On his second attempt, he followed that up with 4.81. It was an impressive performance for him.

Rhett Gibson
Rhett Gibson looked impressive in this one. He had the fastest time out of all of the running backs, recording 4.87 and 4.79. He showed that he has quickness and acceleration with how he finished. That 4.79 is the fasted attempt out of all of the running backs. It was an impressive performance by them in this one.
Dominique Martin ll
Dominique Martin ll
Dominique Martin ll looked impressive in the combine, putting up crazy measurements and times throughout all of the workouts. He had the rare occurrence ran both 4.72 on both of his attempts. He is not the tallest guy, but he can excel with his speed. It was an impressive showing by him through the entirety of the combine.
