QB | Grant Hetherton Grant Hetherton 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Brighton | 2024 State MI | 2024 | Birghton | Hudl
Grant just keeps on improving, and coaches are beginning to take notice. Every throw I saw of Grant was on the money, thrown on a rope, with great form. Even though he’s heading into his first season as Brighton’s starting QB, his offseason performances have already earned him a Division 2 offer from Davenport. Steady, confident, gets the ball out quick. I can’t say enough good things about Grant, and I am confident more Division II offers are coming this summer, with the potential of D1 offers after this Fall.
RB | Nathan Stark Nathan Stark 5'7" | 190 lbs | RB Brighton | 2025 State MI | 2025 | Brighton | Hudl
Big season coming for Nate Stark, and he’s been a standout at every camp I’ve seen him at. This camp in particular showcased his ability to be a receiver, as his routes out of the backfield looked real good. I don’t think Nate is at the upper-echelon of his RB class just yet, but I’ve been super impressed from what I’ve seen of him from agility testing and 7v7. I expect Nate to continue to standout at just about every camp he attends, and with more on-field experience, he could become a Division II prospect.
DB | Drew Rankin Drew Rankin 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Northville | 2025 State MI | 2025 | Northville | Hudl
I haven’t seen Drew too much in person, but I’ve watched quite a bit of his tape. During agility drills, I thought Drew had fast hips and changed direction quickly and smoothly. During the 7v7 period, Drew won most of his reps. When he won, he looked great as he was sticky and seemed to perfectly match the receiver’s movements. There were a few instances where he got beat and I suspect he was guessing where his opponent was going. Those instances were few are far between, but still something to keep in mind. Drew was also just crowned Defensive MVP of the Mano-A-Mano Camp, and is surely set up for a successful fall season. By this time next year, Drew will be a college prospect.
T/DE | Kyle Klocek | 2024 | Bedford | Hudl
I really liked Kyle Klocek from Bedford. The 6’4″ lineman was one of the most physical guys at the showcase and consistently won his reps. I have quite a few good play marking on my sheet for Kyle, and I look forward to seeing what he can do later this summer and this fall. Currently need to look more into Kyle, but I know he’ll be a new addition to the 2024 rankings. DIII and DII schools should check him out.
DL | Ricky Johnson | 2025 | Harper Creek | Hudl
Rickly Johnson was very impressive, and I have quite a bit of notes on him. First off, I really liked his speed. Off the edge, he had a explosive first step and super impressive hands. His film shows the same thing, with many highlights showcasing quick initial speed plus a plethora of moves to rush the passer. He can be lined up anywhere on the D-Line and have success. Very much looking forward to seeing Ricky improve over the next year, and I expect him to start getting offers a year from now.
