No Name No Name 6'6" | 230 lbs | OL New York | 2025 NY and I were both present and saw many solid performances from players who we expected to show out and some surprises who really put themselves on our radar. Jared and I talked, and although only a couple positions were unanimously settled we talked about some of the most impressive performances at camp. This group is finalized as our Top Performers/MVPs overall at the showcase.
To check out Jared’s top performers by region check out the links below.
Nahseem Deas Nahseem Deas 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Lincoln | 2024 State NY was the top QB performer at the Elite V showcase, the Lincoln QB threw several nice balls throughout the event showcasing some really solid footwork, velocity, and ball placement. Deas also consistently threw some of the nicest deep balls at the camp. The cherry on top was Deas winning the 40-yard dash race amongst some of the camps fastest players. Overall, you could not have written up a better day for Deas.
Highlights
Presley Kafeero Presley Kafeero 5’9″ | 170 lbs | RB Jireh Prep | 2025 NC had a very solid performance amongst a very good group of running backs at the showcase. Kafeero showcased elite speed and quickness but was very technical in 1v1s as well. The athleticism is there for Kafeero but his nuanced route running and really solid hands complete the package as a receiving back. Kafeero also has really good body control through his routes where he maintains a good low center of gravity and is never slipping or making unnecessary movements. A very good athlete who is efficient and technical makes for an MVP performance from Kafeero.
Highlights
Jack Melore Jack Melore 6’1″ | 185 lbs | WR Smithtown West | 2024 State NY was one of the biggest surprises of the showcase, I knew Melore was talented but he was easily the most dominant wide receiver at the showcase. Melore had solid measurables with a 6’0.5, 178lbs but on the field he ran some of the best routes showcasing his ability to create seperation while also consistently making tough contested catches. Melore separated himself from the rest of the WR group all day long.
Highlights
There were several standout offensive lineman and several guys who had some really impressive reps but nobody showed the consistency throughout the showcase than Bobby Galindo Bobby Galindo 6’3″ | 295 lbs | OL South Side | 2024 State NY . Galindo showed a bunch of power and the ability to reanchor when necessary. He was really solid against counter pass rush moves and keeping a really strong base while moving laterally. In the final five, Galindo had some of the better offensive line reps against a defensive line group that was giving the offensive line a lot of trouble. Galindo was the standout amongst a couple other really solid offensive line performances.

Kahmari Valentine Kahmari Valentine 5’11” | 300 lbs | DL Cardinal Hayes | 2025 State NY made several OL look silly throughout the 1v1s. While there were several top DL from our rankings at the camp Valentine was the clear standout. Valentine showcased some elite pass rush moves with really solid rips and swim moves but ultimately won with his quickness and burst off the ball. Valentine measured in at 5’10, 315lbs which is a unique build for a defensive lineman but man he has the power, speed, and explosiveness that just stands out amongst New Yorks best.
Highlights
There was a ton of talented linebackers at the showcase but Christian Pilgrim Christian Pilgrim 5’11” | 225 lbs | LB Lincoln | 2024 State NY was routinely making plays and was one of the smoothest athletes at camp. Pilgrim, just like Deas was the best at his position at his home field. Pilgrim was really solid in 1v1s and showed really solid quickness in his hips and moved really well alongside smaller quicker running backs. Pilgrim was really impressive throughout the day and finished as our MVP at linebacker.
The biggest surprise on this list was Damon Smith Damon Smith 5’10” | 170 lbs | DB Archbishop Stepinac | 2024 State NY who played limited minutes amongst a stacked group of defensive backs for Archbishop Stepinac was the best defensive back at camp. Consistent and sticky in coverage receivers struggled to create space against Smith. Smith did a really good job of getting his head around and impacting the catch point even making one of the most impressive INTs at camp. Smith was on his game every rep and was one of the only DBs who was able to win a rep the top WR at camp Jack Melore Jack Melore 6’1″ | 185 lbs | WR Smithtown West | 2024 State NY . With all the big names at defensive back at camp this was going to be a tough position group to shine at but Smith did just that really impressed.
