Deas is easily the top quarterback in this league and he’ll have to play like it if the Railsplitters want to pull off the upset. Lincoln is in the best spot out of any PSAL team to beat Erasmus Hall for two reasons. They play the Dutchmen on a short week, as Erasmus Hall played in London on Tuesday and will now play a game this weekend. And the other reason is what Deas can do at quarterback. The dual threat QB will have to make plays outside of the pocket. This Dutchmen defensive line will be getting after him, so his ability to make throws on the run and also take off and do it himself will be crucial. Deas’ arm talent and athleticism is as good as anyone’s in the state. He’ll have to make efficient decisions and get off to a good start and utilize his explosive teammates against the 4 time defending champion Dutchmen.

“Spread love it’s the Brooklyn way.” Deas took Biggie’s words and applied them to quarterbacking. Roaming the same halls that Stephon Marbury once did, the Abraham Lincoln product from Coney Island slings bullets all over the field like Starbury dropped dimes all over the court. Aside from having the requisite arm strength to play at any level, Deas combines that with an ability to lead his receivers so they can catch the ball in full stride and make big plays. Beyond that, it appears that Deas manages to only place the ball where his receiver can secure it and defenders cannot make a play on it.

One of the top quarterbacks at the event, Deas had some picture perfect throws during the showcase. He worked well with his receivers and he easily possessed one of the strongest arms throughout the day. Deas also was on the big stage running the forty yard dash alongside other talented camp participants and he came away with the victory. It was evident that he has made some amazing strides in his game and he showed that he is one of the top dual threat QBs in the state. After the amazing performance, Deas earned an offer from LIU who was in attendance.

is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in this class. Deas was the leader of an explosive Lincoln offense where he registered over 1,000 yards passing and 500 yards rushing to go along with 24 total touchdowns. Deas has great arm talent and can make all the throws you would ask a quarterback to make. Deas can make off-platform throws and adjust his arm angle when needed to make throws. Deas is a true dual-threat because of his ability to pick up yards when pushed outside of the pocket or on more designed QB runs. Deas has great vision in terms of finding running lanes and has the speed and agility to make defenders miss, accelerate, and break away for long gains.
Deas needs to bring a little more consistency in his game especially against top competition in the PSAL. Improvements in footwork and overall throwing mechanics would make Deas a little more accurate and really help complete his ability as a passer, considering he already has the arm strength. Deas has the ability to change the game on broken plays but finding success on routine plays that have to be made, especially at the next level would really help his development. Deas does rare things that not many guys in New York can do, so this season will be big for the second-year starter in-route to playing at the next level.

has all the physical traits you want in a modern day quarterback with really solid height at 6’3 and incredible athleticism. Deas has a really solid deep ball and does a great job of making long throws after moving around inside or outside the pocket. Deas often uses a very long dropback to create some extra space and time to throw and his arm strength allows him to make all the throws he needs to make from that position. Deas does a good job of adjusting the flight of his ball at different levels of the field and showed on tape he can make the long 10-15 yards throws on out breaking routes from the opposite hash with incredible velocity on his throws. Deas is not only really solid as a passes but could have the most dangerous legs of the quarterbacks in this class.
