Hundreds of kids are going to be gathering to show off their skills and gifts in front of dozens of coaches hoping to grab their attention, build a relationship, and earn next level offers. With so many kids at each of these camps, it will take special traits to stand out. In today’s article I want to highlight six athletes that I believe have the traits that will grab the coaches eyes at camps this summer. Coaches, make sure to check these kids out if you will be at any of the camps they will be attending. Let’s get started with one of the biggest hidden gems at WR.
An athlete who currently sits inside the Top 5 of his positional rankings, yet seems to be flying under the radar is the Sussex Hamilton WR Andrew Eichmann Andrew Eichmann 6’5″ | 200 lbs | WR Sussex Hamilton | 2024 State WI . We can’t go much longer with him being this secret. He has an exceptional frame at 6’4″ 195 lbs, and great speed for that size running a reported 4.6 40. Add in a .97 flying 10 to that also. It all translates to the field too. His tape shows over and over the deep threat that he is. He flies by DBs and uses that big body to give his QB a huge radius to target. The junior also has next level football in his blood as his older brother is currently a WR at Iowa. He is going to turn heads at camps. His camp schedule is below.
Another under the radar WR that is sure to turn heads with his natural gifts is the Watertown weapon. Zach checks in at 6’1″ 180 lbs, a solid frame for the position. Where he will steal the eyes of coaches is with the speed that accompanies that size. Zach runs a reported 4.5 40, and recently set his school record in the 100M with a 11.18. Scher is just as explosive as he is fast. He posted a 37.4″ vertical jump, and a 10’2″ broad jump at the WFCA Combine earlier this spring. When he gets to one on ones at these camps watch him eat up cushion and run away from DBs for easy wins.

Next up we have two way impact player Cayden Brandenburg Cayden Brandenburg 5’11” | 175 lbs | ATH Janesville Parker Highschool | 2024 State WI . Cayden plays both WR and DB for Janesville Parker. The 5’11” 175 lbs athlete brings track speed to the football field. He runs a blazing 4.5 in the 40 and is a State Qualifier in the 200M, 400M, and 4X400M relay. Cayden also started his track season with an elite 10.8 100M time. Essentially, look at it however you want to. The kid is fast. He is a football player too. On offense, Cayden uses his quick twitch and burst to run sharp routes that DBs can’t react with quick enough. On defense, Cayden is able to cover big zones or run with his man downfield. He also does a good job of attacking the ball in the air. He has to finish up a great track season, but when he does keep an eye out for his camp schedule. I believe he is a D2 level prospect right now with room to develop.

We go back to the WR position one last time for an intriguing prospect. Tommy doesn’t possess elite size at 5’11” 150 lbs. However, you will be hard pressed to find a more productive athlete. He finished the season 4th in receptions, 2nd in yards, and 2nd in receiving TDs. While he lacks size Teberg has rare speed. At the WFCA Combine he posted the best 40 time with a 4.44. Not a typo. The kid can move. On tape, it is clear that Burlington loved to let Tommy use that speed. They put him on a lot of quick routes that allowed him to get the ball, turn up field, and let that speed take over. I’m looking forward to seeing how he performs at camps this summer.
We move to the TE position for my next prediction of camp standouts. Adam Heberer Adam Heberer 6’4″ | 225 lbs | TE Sussex Hamilton | 2024 State WI of Sussex Hamilton is sure going to look the part on every field he steps on. He stands at 6’5″ 225 lbs and has an 80″ wingspan. He is about 15 lbs heavier than he was in 2022 already too. His 2022 tape has me excited for his senior campaign because he was already a willing blocker, and with that added size could be an even bigger impact in that area. On the camp circuit he will surely grab attention with that size, and then the long strider should be able to keep it with his soft hands and the overall mismatch that he could be. Look for him to prove that he can be a mismatch nightmare. His camp schedule is below.

This is the one that I am maybe most excited for. We have Carter listed as a TE, but it looks like he may be in the process of switching to OT. That has me excited, and we could be in for a massive breakout from the massive prospect. Carter is blessed with an elite frame that has been filling out very well this offseason. He is up to 6’7″ 260 lbs, about 20 lbs up from the 2022 season. Watching through his blocking highlights has me excited for what is to come. Carter has the range to cut off linebackers or get out and lead in space. He had a solid initial punch that may be even more impactful now. He has the strength to drive level one off the ball too. Kadow is an intriguing, raw prospect that has a lot of tools for the next level to mold. Get eyes on him if he will be at your camps.
