This state has produced some of the best talent at the college and professional levels for years. For a majority to the premier athletes who have come out of Texas and into the next level, their journey to the top started at the middle school level. Having said that, here are some of the Lone Star State’s top athletes who are about to become some of the biggest names in high school football at both a state and national level.
Miylen Colley Miylen Colley 6’4″ | 270 lbs | OL Legacy School of Sciences | 2027 State TX might be one of the more polished offensive linemen that I have seen in this class. Standing at 5’11, Colley is beginning to grow into the frame of a top-tier offensive lineman. With most of his time being spent at tackle, Miylen moves smoothly through his pass protection slide and can easily maintain position on the pass rusher. Miylen has also shown to be an absolute weapon in the run game. His explosion and strength are made evident as he opens up running lanes at the line of scrimmage and drives defensive linemen several yards downfield. Just from what I have seen, Colley is a very exciting offensive line prospect to keep an eye on for the future. If he continues to play at this level, expect him to stack up some big time offers in the future.

Case Benoit Case Benoit 6’1″ | 175 lbs | TE TX is a dual-sport athlete out of Bastrop, Texas that has recently caught my eye. Case is 6’1 and splits time between tight and defensive end during the football season, and tears up basketball courts throughout the winter. On the football field, Case is not your conventional #2 tight end who always aligns in the slot if he is split out, you will sometimes find him aligned as the outside receiver. This should come as no surprise when you see the pure athleticism and ball skills that Case has. Case is one of those fearless route runners who are willing to attack the middle of the field and can take chunks out of the defense when he is targeted. Overall, I am very impressed with what Case has to offer. As he continues to grow through the game, look for him to start stacking up some big time offers.
Peyton Miller Peyton Miller 6’4″ | 285 lbs | OL Anna | 2027 State TX is another Texas offensive lineman that I am very excited about in the class of 2027. The 6’3 Northern Texas product comes to us from Anna, Texas, and moves VERY well for his size–even with his size 16 feet. Among the many things that sold me on this kid, the one that stood out most to me was a clip of him running on the rugby pitch. With his awesome display of speed and power, Peyton has proven explosion and a level of nastiness that is hard to come by. In the trenches, Peyton has the drive to move people all over the field. Peyton also has the instinct to throw downfield blocks and spring the ball into the end zone. Overall, Peyton is an offensive line coach’s dream. Texas High School football better watch out for Miller when he is out on the field.

Joseph Marsh
Joseph Marsh
Joseph Marsh, who also goes by JP, is a Dallas-Area quarterback that has been showing out as of late. As more of a pocket-passing style quarterback–complete with the nickname of “dot em up”, Marsh commands the field with his precision throughs and immaculate touch on the ball. Joseph has shown to handle high-pressure situations well as he helps move his offense down the field effectively when the clock is ticking down. One of the most impressive things that I have seen from Marsh is the variety of arm angles that he can throw with. Joseph has shown to be able to adjust his throwing motion to get the ball down without any defensive disruption without compensating timing or accuracy. With everything that I have seen from Marsh, I am a firm believer that the looks he is getting from North Texas is only the beginning of his recruiting journey.
