Highlights
Kotiranta’s been a steady riser at the PRZ camps, vaulting himself into the top performers at January’s event and earning WR MVP on Sunday. He’s shown continuous growth as a route-runner out of the slot and promising athletic development. He excels at separating in 1v1s with short-area burst and twitchy change-of-direction in tight areas. Kotiranta’s laid the groundwork for a breakout season for San Clemente in the fall.
Highlights
Jones dominated 1v1s with his advanced route-running ability and natural athleticism. He’s a smooth mover that can keep DBs guessing with varying speeds and breaks off his routes with fluid change-of-direction. He flashes strong hands at the catch point and has some of the better hand-eye you’ll see at his age. Jones is a young prospect to keep an eye on as he starts his high school career in the fall.
Cherry’s a long, wiry WR that flashed natural athleticism and body control on the perimeter. He has a developing vertical skillset with good top-end speed and the catch radius to win 50-50 balls in 1v1 coverage. He’s a fundamental route-runner that could elevate his skillset by creating separation on a more consistent basis heading into his senior season. Cherry’s drawn some interest at the Mountain West level from SDSU and Hawaii.
Foster’s frame and WR skillset are well beyond his age as a freshman. He’s a strong, physical athlete that can fight through contact in tight coverage and is effective with his hands at the LOS against press coverage. He’s a developing route-runner that can work the sidelines and understands how to create separation on short-intermediate routes. Foster’s a name to watch in a program loaded with D-I talent.
Jack Junker
Jack Junker
Junker was able to win some downfield 1v1 reps with precise route-running and straight-line speed. He’s a quick accelerator that does a good job of staying low and connected to the ground through his breaks and driving out of it with burst. He performed well in the testing finishing near the top of every category for his position group.
