Prep RedzoneMN Showcase: DB SES MVPs

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We also dish out our SES (Size, Explosiveness, Speed) MVP for the best of the best competitors at the defensive back position. <strong>What is SES?</strong> This is an analytic I came out with last May at our Prep Redzone Wisconsin Showcase. SES takes their variables in order matching up a prospects measurable, with how explosive they were via their broad jump, and the speed they brought to the other testing drills. Also, we stack the top five in each category and whichever prospect leads the pack in all categories is also factored in. width="313" height="205" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The first defensive back I told my PRZ colleague to watch was Rocori 2024 DB [player_tooltip player_id='242378' first='Will' last='Steil'] as Will was one of the top defensive backs in the building last Sunday at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase. Ever since I scouted this young man two summers ago at the Central Minnesota Football Academy, time after time Will shows off explosive he was with his agility as a long cornerback. Will is a defined ballhawk in coverage and to the ball from start to finish on tape. He has the intense football IQ that has some excellent vision off the jump at visualizing where the football is headed. He also has excellent ball-tracking skills and with his plethora of length and range, and can use his instincts to provide lengthy assistance with his Rocori safeties when pressing the inside of the field. I won't lie, Will was my selection from the start of our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase to win defensive back MVP overall as he comes away with my SES DB MVP from last Sunday as Will certainly will unleash the floodgates of his recruitment this summer with I am sure plenty of interest from the ranks of Divison I FBS and FCS with those verified measurables, explosiveness, and burst.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
