Moyer had an impressive freshman season as he led his team to an 11-2 record, including a league title. The 6’2 QB played with confidence and great awareness for his first stint as a varsity QB, and this fall, the game should slow down a lot more for Moyer. Caleb has a big arm that can take the top off the defense, but his ability to play pitch and catch makes him a crucial part of his team. In the ground game, his balance and quickness allow him always to be a threat to the opposition. Another underrated trait would be Caleb’s ability to sell the play-action pass; his smoothness puts the defense right to sleep in big moments. Keep your eye on Moyer this fall.
Joey Truesdale – Wapakoneta – 2024 LB
The 2nd team All-District Linebacker has much more to prove in the fall of 2023. Joey is a physical linebacker but also packs a high IQ for situations and formations. Joey doesn’t miss many open-field tackles and knows how to use angles to reach his spots. In pass coverage, he does a great job of not letting the running back sneak into the flats, which takes significant eye discipline. Truesdale does a great job of tackling the football, leading to some timely turnovers for his team last season. This should be a big year for Joey, and I look forward to keeping you updated on his progress.
Grant Houser Grant Houser 6'5" | 225 lbs | TE Wapakoneta | 2025 State OH – Wapakoneta – 2025 TE
Grant will be a household name by the end of the season when it comes to top TEs in the 2025 class. Standing at 6’5, 230 lbs last fall, you can assume he has gotten bigger, faster, and more robust. Houser displays the skill set to be attached or detached at the TE position. In the passing game, he runs clean routes and looks to get yards after the catch. Regarding blocking, Grant is physically at the point of attack and is willing to finish off defenders. With added weight over the next few years, some coaches might want him at tackle with his nasty playstyle and grit. This prospect should blow up soon; he has all the tools of a Division 1 recruit.
Jace Knous – Wapakoneta – 2024 RB
Jace is a smooth downhill running back looking to score touchdowns when the football is in his hand; he had 22 of them in 2022. In the film, you can see Jace has good footwork and vision that helps him be decisive in hitting the holes. Knous rushed for over 1,400 yards last season and averaged 5.9 yards per carry. Jace has more acceleration and burst than speed, which could land him some linebacker opportunities at the next level because he is a tough baller. There is no doubt that this prospect can reach 2,000 yards this fall.
