Continue ReadingAnother St. Thomas More prospect lands on the must-offer list. Big hype since West Toronto Prep, Will Smith Will Smith 6’5″ | 290 lbs | OL Tabor Academy | 2025 State NewE places as a top-five linemen prospect despite little film to base his game off of. Luckily, I’ve asked around and have been assured that this young man is a prospect ready to explode onto the scene sooner rather than later. Self-lists at 6’5, 285-pounds, with a 6’10 wingspan, Will Smith Will Smith 6’5″ | 290 lbs | OL Tabor Academy | 2025 State NewE fits the bill in terms of meeting measurable thresholds.

I’ve got Hardy Watts Hardy Watts 6’6″ | 300 lbs | OL Dexter Southfield | 2025 State NewE one spot underneath a prospect that is sure to land FBS offers in time. That should tell you how excited I am by this kid’s tape. Seven minutes of dominance out of the 6’5, Dexter Southfield sophomore. Phenomenal in pass protection reps. Phenomenal in run-blocking sets, both on the move as a puller or off the snap. Hips look bendy, flexible enough to keep him athletic on the move, capable of absorbing good get-offs from opponents. Great feet post kick-back. His tape is overtly aggressive, yet you can spot some finesse in his feet and hands. Should be labeled a tackle prospect despite the intrigue at guard when run blocking.

The sophomore tone-setter amongst an elite Greenwich program in Connecticut. Peter Vomvolakis Peter Vomvolakis 6’2″ | 290 lbs | OL Greenwich | 2025 State NewE is probably the “smallest” prospect in this bunch. Plug on the tape and you’ll find out how equally proficient this young man is in both stopping the run, as well as blocking it. Off the bat, you’d like you’re 6’2-and-under linemen to attempt to play both ways, testing their abilities at DT can only help their recruiting. Peter Vomvolakis Peter Vomvolakis 6’2″ | 290 lbs | OL Greenwich | 2025 State NewE exemplifies two-way player. I can make the case that Vomvolakis is the best two-way trench player in his class. Fun tape to watch. Will be a fun watch in collegiate camps this Summer too.

The first 300+ linemen of the bunch. Beef, violent finisher, Charlie Simeone Charlie Simeone 6’4″ | 295 lbs | OL Needham | 2025 State NewE going to win off his initial punch more times than not. Sheer power in his upper and lower body, Simeone keeps things a bit old school. Simeone seeks out his assignment, puts a hat on a hat, and bulldozes a path for the ball carrier. Left tackle capabilities, experienced in run-blocking sets so a move to right tackle could be expected at the next level. I’m enamored with his initial punch off the snap, all this leads to Simeone projecting to guard, except when you continue through the six-minute tape and see some of his pass-pro reps. Excited to see him expand on his early experience.

Here’s a highly productive left tackle prospect out of Milton Academy. We are splitting hairs between many of these top linemen in terms of rank, Samuel Morales Samuel Morales 6’4″ | 275 lbs | OL Milton Academy | 2025 NewE could very well be at the top of this list with new tape. Early in his sophomore tape, you’ll see just how proficient a run-blocking tackle Morales is. Phenomenal out of his stance, delivers first blow when lead blocking on outside zone sets. Involved in many combo blocks that incorporate a tight end. Can reach the second level and locate his assignment efficiently. Natural mover in space. Gets his backside in the hole when sealing. Violent finisher when down blocking. Incredible limb/grip strength, that of a wrestler. Don’t see too many pass-pro reps on film. Checks off run-blocking boxes.

An easy 6’5, 290+ pound tackle prospect out of Lawrence Academy. Another lineman that received a Division One grade out of me. His tape, albeit a bit shorter than I’d like, provides a wide spectrum of the kid’s capabilities. Great upper body strength, is more than likely a weight room warrior with the press he’s able to get off his chest. He gives attention to hand placement, can improve but is already proficient here. Another violent finisher. Coaches will rightfully be concerned with his lower body, how stiff is he in his back-kick or on the go. The kid’s a giant, watching him work in pass protection and attempt to stay balanced and fluid was a pleasure. Excited to see a five-minute tape out of Schlupf this time next year.

Had the chance to see Logan Sheely Logan Sheely 6’4″ | 310 lbs | OL St. Thomas More | 2025 State NewE up close and personal last week. Although I didn’t cover OL/DL at the event last week, I came away impressed with the way Sheely moved in individual drills. Got to see some of his knee-bend, flexibility, balance. Those are major areas of intrigue when speaking on Sheely the prospect. His tape is just 2 minutes long, which leaves a little left to be desired. One of the more massive prospects on this list, Sheely’s short tape still places him close to a top ten linemen in his class, top 35 overall as well. Sheely’s rank is more of a projection as to where I think he could be with a full body of work under the STM umbrella.

I also had a brief look at Elijah Alcorn-Crowder Elijah Alcorn-Crowder 6’3″ | 260 lbs | OL Boston College | 2025 NewE at our camp last week. Again, I didn’t get the chance to see him perform too much, but I did hear that he confirmed his rank. Elijah Alcorn-Crowder Elijah Alcorn-Crowder 6’3″ | 260 lbs | OL Boston College | 2025 NewE received a D1 FCS grade out of me, yet he’s got the physical tools to explode beyond that threshold. Here’s what Roger Silva had to say in a recent post.
“He had a very good showing as expected and easily confirmed his placement in our rankings as the #12 defensive lineman in New England in class of 2025. He took on repeated efforts from the defensive lineman group and he easily won the majority of the battles. He is a rising talent that has time and room for future growth and development. We were able to easily confirm his flexibility, good feet, and hands that match his feet when in pass protections we saw in his most recent film.”

Many prospects ranked above Dominic Rijos Dominic Rijos 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL Springfield Central | 2025 State NewE are lacking in tape but project to place higher on boards because of measurables, etc. When we are talking about straight film and production, Dominic Rijos Dominic Rijos 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL Springfield Central | 2025 State NewE places higher than his 13th rank suggests. 6’2, 270, first guard on this list in some time. The position suits him, it’s one that he’ll likely be approached to play at the next level. The Springfield Central interior linemen boasts some of the better footwork I’ve seen from prospects on this list. His lower body is revving constantly. I’m surprised at the number of pass-protection reps he shows on tape, he can pull and maul with the best of them, but if he can show off the strength to pass-protect against some of the beefier IDL in MA, it would do wonders for his early stock.

Harrison DeWitt Harrison DeWitt 6’3″ | 275 lbs | OL Belmont Hill | 2025 State NewE ‘s positional rank took a dip solely because we found some reclassifying prospects that we liked a bit more, those prospects also had 2022 tape. Albeit to DeWitt’s detriment, his grade still holds true, as the young man still placed inside the top 50 among his classmates. The broken fibula shouldn’t affect my views on the kid as a whole, I thought of him as a D1 prospect beforehand, that still holds true. Of course, his work back to the field will prove us right or wrong. Nonetheless, if this kid shows up to your camp this summer, circle his name.
The most massive linemen prospect, Vladimir Acosta Vladimir Acosta 6’5″ | 310 lbs | OL Hamden Hall | 2025 State NewE ‘s tape earned serious top ten consideration out of me. 6’5, 350 pounds, Acosta’s dominant 11-minute tape launched him from unranked to top 15 at his position. Works out of Hamden Hall CDHS, Acosta is an absolute bulldozer of a right tackle. You cannot let this sophomore get into your chest. If he does, consider yourself out of the play, he’s got eleven minutes of tape to back that notion up. Easier said than done, Acosta bears heavy limbs on his matchup, hand-fighting to finesse your way around Acosta is useless unless you win with speed off the snap.
