CB [player_tooltip player_id='456548' first='Airriss' last='Rosemond'] (Princeton) 5'11 170- Rosemond played cornerback in a strong Vikings defense. He's a well-rounded corner who can defend the run or the pass. He has a smooth backpedal and fluid hips to turn and run. At the line of scrimmage, he does a great job of using his hands and strength to jam and reroute receivers. Airriss is explosive and gets downhill quickly in the run game or in blowing up bubble screens. Rather than shy away from physicality Airriss seeks it. He plays an edge and the kind of confidence for which cornerbacks who play at a high-level need. Rosemond has offers from UMASS and Eastern Michigan. I think Rosemond's D1 interest will start to pick up this summer camp season and he could start to pick up some offers this fall with a strong Junior campaign.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='446857' first='Trey' last='Verdon'] (Hamilton) 6'1 215- Verdon lines up at linebacker and defensive end in the Big Blue defense. The first thing that pops off the film is Vernon's explosive get-off. At times it almost looks as though he's beating the offensive linemen off the snap. Though he plays with his hands in the dirt from time to time at the high school level, he projects to a linebacker at the college level. He just plays like a man who's hairs on fire. He flies around making plays all over the field be it in the pass or run game. One thing you worry about with players like that is do they put themselves out of position. Verdon awareness seems to be good in diagnosing and stay gap or responsibility sound. If he continues to add good weight and strength, he really could become a dominant linebacker at the high school level and a contributor at the P5 level. Verdon has offers from Pitt and Miami (OH)

LB [player_tooltip player_id='635833' first='Micah' last='Markley'] (Lakota West) 6'2 220-The Firebirds defense has been a D1 pipeline for the last several years, and they have more in the pipeline. Markley has a great frame and is a fluid athlete. He has really good acceleration and gets downhill quickly. I love his pad level as he rarely runs straight up and he's always ready to strike. Whether it's playing through the wash or blitzing the QB through the A or B gaps Markley accelerates and finds the ball between the tackles. When he gets to the ball, he does a great job of putting his pads on the ball which helped him to create some forced fumbles. He's not just good in the box though Micah is able to play in space dropping his hips and changing direction and in pursuit. His versatility will definitely be a big asset at the next level as he's a linebacker who will be able to play all three downs. As Markley continues to add good weight and strength, he could become a top shelf middle linebacker.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='753859' first='Chase' last='Herbstreit'] (Saint X) 6'1 180- Sometimes the weight of a last name can pull a young man down, it can lead to unwanted attention or entitlement issues. Despite having a father who's one of the biggest names in College Football today. None of this is the case for [player_tooltip player_id='753859' first='Chase' last='Herbstreit'], or Kirk for that matter. From those I've talked with Chase is a well-grounded and levelheaded young man. At a place like Saint X starting positions are not given, they're earned. As a sophomore Herbstreit served as a backup for half of the season before earning his way into the starting lineup. Herbstreit is an athletic QB who has the arm talent to make high level throws. As many sophomores would, he experienced his ups and downs as he played some of the top big schools in Ohio. One thing I always look for in young QB's is ball protection. Even though he was seeing a lot of new things and game speed he'd never seen before he protected the ball finishing with a TD to INT ratio of 4-1. Chase is elusive in the pocket and mobile in his scrambles keeping his eyes downfield looking for opportunities to make plays. I'm looking forward to seeing Chase continue to develop physically and as a Quarterback. As the game slows for him, I expect him to take his game to another level because he keeps his head down and puts in the necessary work to maximize his talent.

DE [player_tooltip player_id='748015' first='Cedric' last='Works Jr'] (Northmont) 6'5 215- In his sophomore season works got his first varsity experience. The numbers weren't great, but the physical traits were undeniable. At 6'5 215 Works absolutely passes the eye test for a D1 edge. Whether it be on the football field or on the basketball court Works' combo of size and athleticism is on full display. He has the speed and athleticism to win the edge, but he has the strength to get a nice push as well. Even when the QB gets the ball off he's active getting his hands in the air and batting balls. On another play he makes a play to catch a batted a ball and even return a good distance. I think he's going to grow into a really good weakside DE, he has the athleticism to drop into coverage to where I could see him as a Jack backer who can put his hand in the dirt or stand up and play in space. His speed and pursuit is pretty special at his size. While he's raw if he continues to work on his game as he develops, he has a chance to be a high end P5 kind of player.

CB Airriss Rosemond Airriss Rosemond Airriss Rosemond 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Princeton | 2025 State OH (Princeton) 5'11 170- Rosemond played cornerback in a strong Vikings defense.
