Electric in his own right, the 6'1u0022 190lb safety out of Toms River North rushed 53 times for 362 yards and scored 8 times on the ground, while catching 14 balls for 292 yards and 2 TDs. Defensively, he made 89 tackles, 13.5 for a loss, 2 sacks, 2 FF, 1 FR, 6 Ints, and scored 3 defensive TD for the Mariners.rnrnPruitt has outstanding timing when lining up his hits and breaking up pass attempts. He stays tight-to-the-hip in coverage, allowing himself to be in position to undercut routes and jump passes. You can see Pruitt is a student of the game and studies film. On one play we see that he rolls down when jet motion comes his way, forces the carrier to bubble his track, and his teammates rally to make a tackle for a huge loss. Similarly, Pruitt reacts to short passes in the alley very well and is full steam down hill. His pursuit angles could improve, but he makes up for that with his sheer athleticism. I would love to see him roll his hips through contact when making tackles.rnrnPruitt is a rangy safety who has a lot of great traits. He is a big-time asset that cleans up a lot for the Mariner's defense. Perhaps we should consider him the dark knight vigilante, lurking in the defense's secondary to keep justice and order.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6441f99e8db7f"} /-->

From his safety spot, Rush (5'8u0022 170lb) made 85 tackles, 2 Int, 2 FF, 7 PBU, blocked 2 kicks, and returned 1 punt for a TD.rnrnWhen Rush has the ball in his hands, you best protect the sideline; for should Rush gain the edge, he is going to cause some serious damage. Rush is fluid when he reacts to the ball in flight, often jumping passes to make turnovers. He is well-coached, playing the ball when he goes in for a tackle or to break up a pass. Along the lines of how he responds to coaching, he is alway early to the pass and late to the run, but manages to fill the alley and get there in a hurry. Disciplined too, Rush knows when to just sit back and settle in a zone when lots of routes are coming at him, then break in response to the pass. Rush will do his damnedest to stick you when making a tackle, putting his all into it. I would love to see more clips of Rush in man coverage to get a sense for how he performs in that phase.rnrnWith two big-time, returning talents on the defensive side of the ball, I fully expect Barnegat to be in contention for their division, the playoffs, and a championship.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6441f99e8dc40"} /-->

Although we were able to find film for the 6'1u0022 170lb safety, who also plays hoops for the Rams, he did not have any recordable stats available.rnrnSilva might be the most sure-tackler on today's list. Plain and simple: when he hits you, you stop. Silva is also willing to chase you sideline-to-sideline in order to make the play for his team. It does not matter if he is rolled down to near the LOS, filling the alley, or against screens, Silva is physical with opponents trying to block him. To get a full sense of Silva as a player, we need to see more clips of him - particularly in pass coverage.rnrnSouthern Regional is an interesting team to keep an eye on this season. At 5'8u0022 160lbs, made 59 tackles and also plays basketball for the Spartans.rnrnSobieski follows rule #1 and does not let his matchup get behind him. He breaks on the ball nicely, making contact as the ball arrives to avoid drawing a penalty. Should he not get there in time, he has the presence of mind to get his hands in the mix and bat the ball away. If in off coverage, Sobieski flies up on screens and short passes to force the issue. He is a hustle player, consistently winning on specials as a gunner and becoming the first man down the field. For the 2023 season I think Sobieski should improve his jam technique when playing press coverage.rnrnThere is much to like about Sobieski and the way he plays the game.
