These players are game changers, who have the ability to turn up on any play, they can make the big catch and are always a play away from scoring at anytime. Here are several wide receivers in the Class of 2026 who are making a name for themselves.
Pile is one of smoothest, technical route runners that you will find in the state of Texas. Jaylen has oily hips, he has the quickness at the line of scrimmage to create separation easily, he gets in and out of his breaks without taking false steps and his ability to stop, turn, cut and explode in space allows him to get open routinely. Pile has strong, soft hands, he has great length with a large catch radius, he attacks the ball violently but under control and he tracks the football in flight well showing late hands consistently when he receives the football. Pile has the breakaway speed to make a house call and he has the burst along with the quickness to make defenders miss in space. Jaylen is a tenacious blocker, he plays with great leverage and he has a nastiness in his game that enables him to be a force out wide in the run game. Pile’s buzz on the recruiting trail is trending upward this spring, as offers from Maryland, Penn State and Duke have put schools around the country on notice that he is one of the top athletes in his class.
Highlights
Lott is a long, lengthy, athletic player, who has the versatility to line up on both sides of the football and be a playmaker. He is cat quick, he has the ability to change directions and get north quickly and he has the ability to leap, explode and make the big play wherever he lines up on the football field. Jalen has an extended catch radius, he has great hands that are large, he engulfs the football and he has excellent vision that enables him to track the football well in flight. Lott is a weapon in the return game on special teams, his field vision is superb, which enables him to read his blocks well and once he plants, cuts and explodes, he can make a house call for six quickly. Lott is one the most athletically gifted players in the Class of 2026 and getting the ball in his hands will allow him to show off his natural instincts to be a playmaker. Jaylen has drawn attention from colleges around the country, picking up offers from Michigan recently, as well as UNLV, San Diego State, UTSA, Baylor, SMU, Texas State and North Texas. The Lovejoy playmaker will be one to watch heading into the 2023 season.
