, and his Week 2 performance only reinforced that. He caught 9 passes for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns, continuing to prove he’s the focal point of Parish Episcopal’s passing attack.
Pile’s game is built on elite quickness and clean, efficient routes. His ability to separate makes him quarterback-friendly, and once the ball is in his hands, he excels at turning small gains into chunk plays with his speed and vision. Michigan is getting a receiver who not only makes explosive plays downfield but also thrives in moving the chains when it matters most.

Pile is one of the most refined wide receivers in the nation. He’s a crisp route runner who attacks the football at the catch point with strong, reliable hands. His speed to separate at the second level and ability to consistently win one-on-one matchups make him a nightmare for defensive backs. He’s a cornerstone piece in Parish Episcopal’s offense.

Pile was impressive from the start. Each time that I have seen him this offseason, he has added bulk to his frame and more tools to his game. He is an elite pass catcher who has strong, reliable hands. Pile made multiple grabs with a defender hanging on to him and muscled through it coming down with the reception. His route running was precise and his footwork was clean and deliberate. The 6-foot 180 junior returns as one the top targets for Parish Episcopal and is establishing himself as one the top wideouts in the 2026 class in the state. Sitting at 23 total offers, from the likes of Oklahoma, Oregon, Virginia Tech and Tennessee to name a few, Pile is a national recruit. I expect him to be a key cog in the Panthers offense in 2024.

With exceptional speed, explosiveness, and agility, he possesses the ability to create separation from defenders and make plays all over the field. Pile’s superb route running and phenomenal hands allow him to consistently make contested catches and move the chains for his team.
Pile’s explosive get-off at the snap and use of leverage give him an advantage against defenders, allowing him to gain a step and create separation. His ability to start and stop on a dime enables him to get open consistently, while his understanding of coverages allows him to find soft spots in the defense and exploit them effectively.
In his sophomore season at Parish Episcopal, Pile was a key contributor to a state title victory in 2023, showcasing his ability to perform on the biggest stages. With impressive statistics, including an average of 26 yards per reception in eight games, he has proven his ability to stretch the field and excel at yards after the catch.
As one of the hottest recruits this offseason, Pile has recently added offers from prestigious programs such as Michigan, Syracuse, Illinois, Auburn, Tennessee, and Utah to his list. Pile is one of smoothest, technical route runners that you will find in the state of Texas. Jaylen has oily hips, he has the quickness at the line of scrimmage to create separation easily, he gets in and out of his breaks without taking false steps and his ability to stop, turn, cut and explode in space allows him to get open routinely. Pile has strong, soft hands, he has great length with a large catch radius, he attacks the ball violently but under control and he tracks the football in flight well showing late hands consistently when he receives the football. Pile has the breakaway speed to make a house call and he has the burst along with the quickness to make defenders miss in space. Jaylen is a tenacious blocker, he plays with great leverage and he has a nastiness in his game that enables him to be a force out wide in the run game. Pile’s buzz on the recruiting trail is trending upward this spring, as offers from Maryland, Penn State and Duke have put schools around the country on notice that he is one of the top athletes in his class.
