Landon Hughes Landon Hughes 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Cathedral | 2026 State IN – Noblesville – 6’2″ 190lbs
Hughes, to this point for the 2026 class, might be the best hidden secret that schools are going to fall in love with immediately. His size, is obvious. You’ll turn on the tape and see a triple option offense and think, how can a QB be a hidden gem until you watch the first play. His footwork, way to smooth to be limited in his drop-backs. His frame, is magnificent. Most importantly, his arm is phenomenal. A natural thrower of the football while making it look easy as it glides through the air. If Noblesville switched to a more fitting offense, Hughes would absolutely cook. It’s hard for him to get into a rhythm when he’s not asked to throw that often. He played Varsity last season, and I think, started most of the games. He only threw 94 attempts on the year, but it’s pretty clear within the first few throws, that he’s a guy with much more talent than he’s been able to unleash yet. I’m a big fan of Hughes moving forward and I really hope they change up offenses some to be more accommodating to the talent that they have at the QB position, because Hughes could take that program to the next level if allowed. I believe that, I’ll stand on that, and I think others will too when they see his tape.

Anthony Coellner Anthony Coellner 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Carmel | 2026 State IN – Carmel – 6’2″ 175lbs
Coellner is going to be quite of fun to watch whenever he gets called up. Last season, he didn’t play Varsity but lit up the fields he did play on. He’s got a fantastic frame and sees the field well. He’s a really good athlete who can step up and avoid the rush or simply take off for positive yards. With the speed to house call it, he’s absolutely a dual-threat QB. However, he’s just as dynamic in the pocket. He’s got a decent sense of awareness and is able to step up and deliver the ball on the move. He’s fairly accurate and likes to get the ball out quick, if possible. I do think his stance dropping back may need some work, but as young as he is, he’s in a good spot. He also typically keeps his shoulders square while rolling out so he can deliver the ball if and when someone comes open. He’s not afraid to throw to a spot and trust that his guy gets there. I feel like Coellner has a lot of the physical tools you need to develop into a quality starter at the next level. He’s willing to put the ball in play while willing to keep accountable for his mistakes. There’s a lot to like in Coellner as he develops over the next few years and especially when you consider where he could be when he graduates.

Jace Cameron Jace Cameron 5'10" | 165 lbs | QB Avon | 2026 State IN – Avon – 5’10” 150lbs
Cameron is someone we hit a few months back, but it’s hard to talk about QBs in the class without fitting him in. He’s in a good spot to sit and learn for a year if he doesn’t win the job. He’s currently behind, in my opinion, one of the better QBs in the 2024 class in Reynolds. However, it won’t stop Cameron from competing and letting it rip. He’s spent just about every day this offseason working and trying to improve his game in all phases. 1 area he’s really been working to improve is his drop-back footwork. He throws a nice ball that has quite a bit of touch on it when needed. He’s able to drop the ball right over the top of the receiver’s shoulder and into a bucket. He’s began to process what’s in front of him fairly well and doesn’t put the ball in harm’s way very often. Cameron looked really good in JV last year and showed he’s capable of being a good starter when his time comes. I anticipate him coming in and giving Reynolds everything he’s got and if he doesn’t win the starting job this year, he’s going to rip JV defenses a new one. He’ll then start the year after, worst case scenario. No matter what though, Avon is sitting very pretty at the QB position for years to come. Cameron is going to be a really steady QB, at a bare minimum when he plays. His tools and development give me reason to believe he’ll exceed expectations.

Devin Craig Devin Craig 6'2" | 160 lbs | QB Lapel | 2026 State IN – Lapel – 6’1″ 160lbs
Craig had a really good things all things considered. He started all year for Varsity and he absolutely had his moments of brilliance along with some moments to learn from. Young and letting it rip is all you can really ask sometimes. He’s got a decent lengthy frame and as his weight comes up, he’ll be less bouncy in the pocket. Not that he’s jumpy now, but he’s not always consistent with his footwork. However, his confidence and true development from experience throughout the season was second to none. Week 2 and 3 against Indianapolis Lutheran and North Decatur, there were moments he looked overwhelmed. The next 5 weeks, he was over 60% completion each week, and over 70% in two of those weeks. Those weeks he hit 70%+ completion, he threw 26 and 28 passes so it’s not like they took the ball out of his hands. He was throwing, a lot. For example, 37 attempts against Jay County where he completed 68% of his throws and 36 the next week where he completed 64%. It wasn’t a fluke, he turned a new leaf. He was dialed in and leading his receivers, hitting them in stride, and standing strong in the pocket. He’s not going to kill you with his legs, but he’ll certainly take off if you don’t pay attention. Craig’s progress and development through year 1, all on the Varsity level and having a winning record, was fantastic to see and gets you pretty excited about the future in Lapel.

Trey Dobson Trey Dobson 5'8" | 150 lbs | QB Greenwood Christian Academy | 2026 State IN – Greenwood Christian Academy – 5’8″ 150lbs
Dobson is a really intriguing player because of his athleticism and size. Yes, I know immediately people see 5’8″ and get scared off, but can we stop? He’s a freshman in High School. Let’s take a minute to realize there’s a good chance he’s not even close to done growing. He’s a fantastic athlete who has a really good throwing motion, decent footwork, and is fairly accurate. While I do think his arm strength could continue to improve, he’s been able to make every throw he’s needed to up to this point. He’s able to get out of the slimiest spots with his ability to wiggle and twitch. He’ll shake off defenders while keeping his eyes downfield and deliver a strike in stride. It’s not very often that you should have your QB back there returning kicks, but Dobson is a good enough athlete to do so. Then, to weave through the entire field while going East/West and eventually end up in the endzone was pretty impressive. The flexibility Dobson gives you in your offense could be limitless. Run him, let him throw, and return kicks, and you’ve got yourself quite a unique player. Dobson is fun, dynamic, and I really hope he continues to develop at QB because he develop into an unstoppable force.
